Adventurer certainly describes Betty, that's for sure. Now I picture her in an Indiana Jones outfit, a bullwhip in one hand and a test tube in the other.

Talbot? Ew! Ew! Ew! No! I never met Glenn Talbot in my universe, but [...} he's not Betty's type. In my world, he's a General in the Air Force, and was assigned to take down the rest of SHIELD after it was found out it had been infiltrated by HYDRA. I don't even want to think of Betty marrying Talbot.

Betty's father was the same way with me. Didn't like it that his daughter was dating an egghead, wanted her to marry a military man, instead. Becoming the Other Guy only gave him an even better excuse to hate my guts. It's been... fifteen years since my accident. Feels much longer.
