On this fine Friday the Thirteenth, some of you may find yourself wondering what to do with your free evening. Here at the Camp, we have a lot of space and a wide movie selection, so here's an open invitation to come and hang out for a low key welcome back get together. There'll be swimming, movie watching (theme to be decided by attendees), and a bonfire for singing and toasting marshmallows. We'll order some pizza, but if you want to bring some snacks, food, or drinks (non-alcoholic please) over, feel free.

I guess the party officially will start 6ish, but you can show up whenever you like.

	In some cultures, Friday the 13th is considered an unlucky day because of superstitions surrounding Friday as well as the number 13. They made a bunch of horror movies called that too. We could teach you some. Everyone knows a different assortment of them, so we could easily keep coming up with more to teach. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

It is just a number, but superstitions are funny like that. Like the idea that the number 13 is unlucky is so strong that people will avoid having to number a floor in a building as the thirteenth floor or the aisle on an airplane. Meanwhile 13 is considered lucky in other places.

I'd say in general, yeah, but as movies, it's a certain taste. Some people enjoy them, some don't. The main purpose of them is to scare people.

You're in good company for that. We have a lot of people who have had to learn about Earth customs. Where are you from?

So they make movies to scare people? Do humans generally enjoy being scared? In my experience, ~~my fath~~ Eliot did not very much enjoy being scared. We were chased by cannibals and attacked by pirates and he seemed quite put off by it. At least until he got to make an illusion of his father and let the cannibals chase him.

I'm not sure exactly where to begin with. I grew up in the Fairy Realm after my parents gave me away to make a fairy deal. After the Queen threatened to kill me, I stayed in Fillory. I haven't been there very long, however, so I can't be sure if I belong there or can claim to be from there.
