Do the people in these ports generally speak High English, or do they have their own?

And while I'm on that note, how many languages are spoken amongst the people on this ship? I'd like to learn at least one of them in the time I'm here.

Yes, although it's rather irrelevant here.

Russian and American Sign are the two that I think I would like to prioritize, to speak amongst those of us here. Spanish seems to be the next most popular so far, so that can be the next one.

Russian I can do. American Sign's not my strongest. Family's got its own variations.

I will take you up on the offer to teach Russian, then, and find a way to learn American Sign elsewhere. I want to learn more than two, but I think two at a time is probably my limit for learning them effectively.

No, never! Language is just a very important subject, and I'd like to focus on each one and learn it well.

While still also having time for exploration and family and so on.

Most of the time. We're somewhat opposite personalities, but family bonds are stronger than that.
