Their conversation was limited. You did not miss anything. I doubt they will attempt to initiate pleasantries with me, but if they tell me something of interest, I would be glad to share it with you.

A system restart of my internal clock would reprogram any deviations back to the original factory settings.

Why would you feel the need to pretend? Are you not accepted by the rest of the crew?

Oh. Well, I guess there's something.

Um. It was a secret. A big secret. People tried before to trap my friends and I in a cave and use us for experimentation. They wanted us to be scientific experiments. I didn't trust anyone not to be the same, I guess. But then I kept accidentally turning into a mermaid in front of people, so I just figured I should stop hiding it.
