Status Report: Robots 1 vs Macbook 0. Sorry other Tim, where ever you are. The Macbook's fried (temporarily). Robots are unhackable (for now).

Brig's nice, though.

Interesting.

Did you try to access a single robot or did you locate the mainframe?

I've concluded the mainframe is either in the unreachable bridge of the ship or in the lower decks. Trying to access either area run more of a risk of a brig visit.

I thought accessing a single robot would be less of a risk and therefore keep my investigations on the down low. Not to be, I'm afraid. To by pass the security I'll need some of the software off the Batcomputer, which I can't access given it's back in Gotham [...] or Texas.

It is possible that someone on board might have sufficient tech given all the variety around. Whether or not they'd be up to willing sharing would be another matter entirely though.

We also don't have precedent on what the robots would do to repeat offenders. A drastic escalation would seem extreme, however, others did mention a similar trip which involved robots hiding in the walls.

Then again, they might be in the same situation and have the technical know how but the actual equipment they have on board is insufficient. And also there is the sharing issue. Are you suggesting we "socialize"?

The easiest way to find that out would be for me to do something again. Is that a risk worth taking? Maybe. Or we could see if someone else is curious enough to try something.

We could send Brown. She's particularly adept at that. The cabins may be too secure to borrow tech, though I suppose we could test it and try to break into each other's rooms.

Stark has also been thrown into the brig. Given the reception to his post, we could wait to see if he tries again.

True. So is Jason, oddly enough. But then, he has been here longer than most of us.

I have been assigned a roommate but I have yet to speak to them. I just know that my wristband no longer works on the second bedroom of the cabin.

That sounds reasonable.

Todd is a veritable welcome wagon at times.

You could always try on the second bedroom. I can do the same here.

The last excursion lasted several months and ended rather abruptly. If this trip follows, we probably have another month or so.

Guess he is mellowing out in his dotage.

I thought you shared with Dick and Alfred. I assumed that would be just like home and you could come and go into other peoples' rooms as you pleased.

Do you know why it ended so abruptly?

I suppose anything is possible.

I haven't tried. If I have access to their rooms, I suppose I can always attempt to break into Todd's cabin.

Apparently that ship ceased to function and was subsequently pulled into a black hole. Everyone awoke back in Tumbleweed. I suppose we should be on alert for spontaneous whirlpools.

If you are going to attempt to break into Jason's, make sure he is aware or out of his cabin. You know how he tends to shoot first and you're not bulletproof.

If that's the case, we should be more mindful of the ships functions too. If things start breaking down then that may be a warning sign of things to come.

Fair point. I'll speak with him.

There is always a chance that the issues with the ship forced those in charge to abandon their plan, however, it's not something we should try to force given the circumstances.

That seems like a very likely chance. Also poses more questions, like, what is their plan? What part do we play in it? And the big one, who are they?

I appreciate you sharing what you've found out with me, Damian. Thank you.

There's a possibility that this voyage is purely altruistic but I highly doubt that.

Don't get used to I expect you to keep me similarly informed.

I doubt that too.

Very well.
