So when we're not at dock, what do people do for entertainment around here?

This is coming from someone who hasn't taken leave in the last seven years.

Oh, so magic?

There's quite a few magicians, wizards, witches. I was planning on taking advantage of research opportunities while everyone else is here to speak to people from other worlds about it.

Science. Alchemy. Transmutation. It's definitively a science.

Uh huh. Is everyone from your world capable of doing alchemy on some level, or only those for a gift for it?

In the same way that anyone can play piano on some level. Like any discipline, it just requires study and practice. There's varying degrees of strength depending on your training and how you construct your arrays, different specializations. Sometimes people are more gifted than others.

I think you'll find plenty of magic users here who treat their discipline like a science. Someone named Willow was wanting to look closer into the relationship between magic and science? Just don't blow anything up. We're on a boat.

There may be more opportunities for research if you keep an open mind is all I'm saying.
