You'd said something before about pointers.

Hi.

Quentin said that you would talk to people about stuff.

Nor mine, obviously. I think there's a difference between what you choose to keep private for your own reasons and what you keep quiet for fear of repercussions.

Most people are.

sometimes, it's both. Life is strange like that.

You're not the first person I've known who uses the Dark Side. At least three of my companions did similar, and then Revan uses both. My limit for what bothers me is different.

I suppose that's true.

Maybe it's a side-effect of deciding you aren't going to bow to the Jedi Order as the only moral authority in the universe. Who is Revan?

More or less true, but it's more that I've encountered someone who feasted on death, and another who was only alive through pain and hate. Using the Dark Side isn't really something that compares to that.

Someone who has faith in me, and who taught me. One of the more powerful force users I've known, and the one who got all of us together for the war.

I suppose it wouldn't be.

And yet he used both, so would likely be considered a poor example by those who taught me. On both sides actually. My Uncle would have considered any use of the darkside poor, whereas the Supreme Leader criticized any pull by the light.

And what about you? What do you think?

Is this a trick question?

I think I'm still figuring out what I think, as opposed to what everyone around me has told me to think. But I know that I didn't fit easily within either extreme. If one or the other is the 'right' way to think, then I'm broken and there's no point in trying.

I think if I were trying to put together a philosophy, it wouldn't look like the Jedi. All my Jedi training did was isolate me.

No, an honest one. According to what you said plenty of people tried telling you what was right and what wasn't. Figured that asking you what you feel about that is the important part. Especially adding what you said.

Then you're doing what's right for you and there's no one who can tell you that's wrong because they aren't you. No one can walk anyone's path for them.

I feel like telling is a polite way of putting it. It frequently felt like yelling.

Isn't that wishy washy though? I mean, by that logic if I felt the destruction of a star system was right, then I'm not doing anything wrong. And I think everyone here would disagree with that.

I do think it's interesting that for all they go on about balance, Jedi are overly invested in the light. You can't balance if there's no dark. If dark rises, light will meet it, and vice versa - you can't have balance without two things.

Yelling doesn't do anything but make others less inclined to follow one's words.

That's a harder one, because yes you got a point but at the other hand....well where can I judge? I destroyed Malachor V, and the Mandalorians. Killed not only my enemies there, but also my own men. And I felt it was right. Others might disagree there, because I used something terrible to my own advantage, because I thought it would save people. Does that make it right, or make me right? Harder thing to say.

But yes. That part is true.

I'm not certain destruction of anything is ever a sought after outcome, but in war destruction happens. I don't think it should be done without thought, but sometimes options are limited.

Death is death, but sometimes it is also a natural part of the process. It is a part of the Force, and it is part of the balance. Maybe that's uncomfortable to think about in certain contexts.

Sometimes even outside war destruction is the only option you have left. But, you're right. Funny though, only time I ever really followed there is no emotion completely.

But regardless, like I said not great at philosophy. Still think your life is your own to live, and making choices is a part of that. Sometimes that means thinking they're right and sometimes that's the case and sometimes it isn't. But to me there's a difference still between being told what to do, and what is right, and being offered advice and then forging your own path out of it.

Isn't, really. Not for me.

I've been trying to do that forging thing better.

It's not for me either. At least not generally. There are some instances, maybe, but I've been to intimately acquainted with it at this point in my life.

What sort of Force Powers did you want to show me?

Trying is all we got really.

Well being what I am, death is vary familiar to me. Bit too much sometimes. Even before, always walked knowing that nothing's eternal.

Right. Ways of better shielding your mind, a way of piercing people's inner most thoughts, something we called force valor and force whirlwind. Could show you how to see through the force like the Miraluka do if you want to.

And Dun Möch too. Which is less a power and more an addition to 'saber combat.

All right. I'm usually pretty good with the thoughts thing. It was one of my skill sets that Snoke like to exploit. It's not often I meet someone who can keep me out of their mind. It happens, but... rarely.

I don't know anything about the Miraluka thing. What is that?

It's a good trick to know but don't mind showing how you get around it and put it up. Pazaak works for me, but it's different for everyone. Counting's usually the go to but whatever works for you would be best. However the way learning it goes tends to be trying to get into one another's heads. Just tell me when to stop. Don't want to press, even on accident. Communication with that is important.

Guessing they're not around anymore. They're a near human species, all force sensitive. This is because they don't have eyes at all. So the way they see is through the Force. It's useful because sometimes vision can trick you, or there's cases where there's not enough light. Seeing through the Force gets around both those things.

You'd hardly be the first person in my head, but I appreciate the courtesy.

That seems useful, but it's not something I've stumbled across myself. It seems like the sort of thing that would be very helpful. When would you like to meet?

Might be only courtesy, but it's important. Not one to believe in just barging into people's heads.

It can be. And I'm free any day except Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. I patrol then, so a Wednesday would probably be better. Which is where I'm grateful these communicators have days on them, otherwise I'd be lost to when exactly that is.

Snoke used to have me do it for him all the time as a way to get information.

I'm fine with Wednesday. I don't really have a schedule right now.
