I've got a song stuck in my head that I could swear I haven't heard in at least ten years. There's not even a reason. I just woke up with it. Why??

("Dance, then, wherever you may be, I am the lord of the dance said he, and I'll lead you all wherever you may be, I'll lead you all in the dance said he.")

It's driving me nuts. I think I'm going to sit in a bar and hope it gets replaced with something I actually like and know more words of.

Yeah. I have no idea.

Do you have ... the urge to dance?

Not really, unless you count banging my head against a wall. It's just annoying.

That's kind of like dancing.

Karaoke tonight. Do you want to go with me?

Yeah, I'm just sitting in the Meridian until it's closer to starting.

Should we get smashed beforehand?

I'd say "it can't hurt" but it probably can, I just don't care.

Apathetic about hangovers.

Okay, because drinking and singing when you're depressed equals a lot of bad stuff.

Definitely not doing that. No one needs to be on stage crying and wailing "All By Myself".

Weird. It's not very Christmassy.

It's about Jesus? I suppose it's Christmasy enough? It was heard in the context of a Christmas performance where actors dressed in Medieval clothes and sung ye olde songs to music played on period instruments.

I suppose that makes sense. I can't remember any of the verses anyway so they might be more festive.

If I remember correctly, the song has a more Easter element to it, but it's less guilt inducing.

Where did you say you heard it?

I'm not sure, I probably just picked it up somewhere when I was a kid. Then something in a dream must have reminded me of it and it's been in my head all day.
