He didn't refuse, exactly, but he asked me to not leave him alone. And you know I can't refuse any version of Steve Rogers. Don't have words with him, I'm coming to you because I want to get some outside perspective from someone I trust. Not because I want to make life shittier for him.

Just tell me I'm not being an asshole?

You are not being an asshole. If he knows about your Steve than I think he's being the asshole. He shouldn't have asked that of you. I know he's a Steve, but you and your health are just as important (more important if you ask me). It's not wrong to need to take care of you.

You're completely biased about me, but I think I just needed to hear that and know that it's okay to take that space.

I don't have feelings for him, you know? If I did, this would be a completely different conversation, but I don't. I care for him, he's Steve, but I don't love him like I loved our Steve.

Eh. Biased. I'm reluctant to call him an asshole. He's hurting. He doesn't know how to do relationships. You remember how crappy our Steve and I were in the beginning? We suck at love.

He deserves something good in his life. I hope he finds it.

I'm not saying he doesn't deserve something good. I'm just saying don't knowingly hurt someone else in the process. Especially ones with bias little sisters. I don't know if you know this, but we're kind of monsters.
