I lived in National City before all the universe jumping, but I was born in Midvale. And most recently, it was 2017 for me back home.

I am not familiar with any of those places, but that is not surprising, given the nature of this place. Or the fact that your present has about 50 years on mine.

I've been to Germany, but it's been a couple years. So that's still around. My girlfriend has a secret love for the 60s, so if she was here she'd probably quiz you on fashion and music.

That is reassuring, knowing the world has not been laid to waste by a nuclear holocaust. At least not yet.

Not as of 2017, at least. Though not for lack of trying, in some areas.

My own employment dealt more with threats from above, but I understand the sentiment.

A little higher, actually. Our organization dealt with extra-terrestrial threats.

I see. My associate seems rather reluctant to allow for the existence of aliens, even after being brought here.

I can assure you (and them) that they're real. There are a fair number around, including my sister.

I have noticed. He will too, in time. Your sister is an alien, but you are not?

My family adopted her when she was a teenager, after her ship crashed on Earth.

Interesting. That sounds like something from a book or film, but instead it is your life. I suppose mine is not much different now, having been brought here.
