This may seem like a happy-go-lucky cruise for the folks that weren't here for the last jump, but I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I'll be teaching classes for the school, but I think we're going to need some security protocols. Anyone interested can meet me at the Explorer Lounge where I'll be drinking my weight in booze, and then some. We can discuss there. Or here. I really don't care. It just needs to get done.

And dammit all, my horses better be okay when we get back.

I unfiltered this shit.

Explorer Lounge, Deck 5.

It never starts off sinister, elf. Lulls us into a sense of security before shit happens.

We need to find places that are easily secured. Places we can send the youngins' and the non-fighters to keep them safe. Found any spots like that?

Be there in a moment.

I know. Unfortunately, I know.

I told you, I haven't really been looking. The school would be the best place. If there's a real emergency, us teleporters could round up the kids quick and take them there. Do you want to go out together and do this, or have you already done?

I was gonna say the school too. Easily secured rooms, not quite as open to the outside as a lot of areas, and the kids will definitely know how to get there if they need to do it alone.

Ach, see? Confirmed.

I wonder if it would be too much to secretly start stockpiling supplies, such as dry food and bottled water? Without the robots knowing?

It would be awful to go to where we thought he'd stockpiled, and find the crew cleaned it out as a matter of their janitorial work.

You know, I'm pretty sure there are a few people who've already started.

It would be good to find out who and where, so we're all on the same track?

Look at food insecure people. Anyone who's semi-recently lived in a situation where they can't always get enough to eat has potential to develop hoarding behaviour. They're also likely to not advertise it, so putting out a big public call on the network might be less effective than asking around quietly. I'm not sure of everyone's background but I'll see if I can think of anyone else in particular.

Looks like you've got that covered. Let me know what you find, and we'll go from there.

Okay, sounds like the robots might just be cleaning up what's visible or obvious. But it's possible they do a deeper clean every so often as well and just haven't gotten to it yet.

I wasn't really talking about them, but okay.

I'm kinda predisposed to think of them. I'm asking someone.

Thanks. Let us know what they say.

Everything seems to still be intact so far. They'll tell me if anything changes.

I haven't looked around yet. Been too busy drinking. But if we can all agree on the school then we should start there.

Priorities.

And free alcohol.

Did you see? They also have a cigar bar?

How the fuck did I miss that?

Let's go there after we drink.

They call it the Connoisseur's Lounge, that's why.

I don't think you're allowed to take any of the cigars out of the place, though.
