It's certainly not been a usual festive period, but change isn't all bad.

JESSE

I don't know if you have plans, but how do you feel about Christmas dinner the night after Christmas?

SHERLOCK (elementary)
I see Clyde has a friend. Of the female variety. Are we taking up breeding or is this a new experiment in socialisation?

SINGULARITY
Did you get the gift I left for you?

We are meant to believe 'Santa Claus' has delivered her.

I am considering breeding. In the meanwhile, she is Bonnie and I am pleased she has arrived. I've reason to believe Clyde is lonely.

Santa was very nice to think about Clyde then.

Possibly, can't blame him. Bonnie and Clyde, why not. I got some toys for them too.

Did he think of you as well?

It was a suggestion from America's Captain, Steve Rogers. Jesse suggested I adhere to it. What have you acquired for them?

In a way. Clyde's toys and my single stick. Seemed appropriate.

Ah, well, when Captain America tells you something, it's polite to listen. Some of the cosies, balls, the squeaker.

That is rather fitting.

So I am told. Well, then. Shall we have a turtle cozy gathering?

We will need to make sure they get along. Will they need a bigger habitat?

That is likely. Perhaps we should first go to the pet shop. I'd like to experiment with them in close quarters versus a greater space.

That sounds like an idea. At the very least, we'll have a time-out pen for them. We need food anyway and they should get some treats, maybe some strawberries if anywhere has them.

Excellent. You are, as always, well on top of their care.

Clyde is lucky you've arrived. I was rather close to making soup of him.

I'll stay on top of their care, you can dress them up as props.

I don't believe that for even a second. You asked a magical fictional man you don't believe in to bring Clyde a friend.

In the event Santa Claus would not deliver, then perhaps that could very well have been an alternative.

Speaking of Christmas miracles, I’ve invited Jesse for a Christmas dinner tonight. Trimmings and all. Might as well get into the spirit of it.

Perhaps I haven't. I'd just as well assumed he'd make himself at home. He's welcome here nonetheless. We could suggest it at dinner where we are not having Chinese for it.

I saw a meme about potatoes... you know what, you had to have been there.

Do you need help with any of this? I can cook pretty well. Or at least follow directions.

I don't get to see a lot of memes.

I wouldn't say no. There's a lot of chopping and prepping, and Sherlock gets bored easily. You can meet Clyde's new girlfriend.

Great, and you can tell me how you've been.

He's been known to listen to sound advice.

Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and understanding. You're not a washed up anything; junky or otherwise. And you know you're always welcome here, right? Sherlock isn't always the best with verbal cues, but I know that he likes having you around.

I've had a lot of shitty friends in the past. Enablers, jerks, people who would use me. So it's nice to have him. And you. I guess I'm finally growing up. Only took me 25 years.

I didn't get you a Christmas present because I wasn't sure. I guess helping you cook can be part of a gift.
