Never introduced myself. I'm Frank. Been here almost a month.

There a veteran's group of any kind here?

CASSIE SULLIVAN

We gotta talk about school, kid.

Got some questions to ask about the school you run, as a guardian.

It depends on the subject and the current teenage displaced population. Most are 3-6 students.

Small, then.

Any of the kids come from situations where they didn't have access to school?

Most of them do. Or simply from different schooling than most here would be used to.

You have a policy on weapons? Just carried for self-defense?

It's addressed on a case by case basis.

For physical weapons, if approved, students are expected to keep them concealed at all times, and if they are drawn unecessarily, the student may lose the right to bring weapons on campus.

That said, the EPS is one of the most secure and highly-trained facilities in Tumbleweed. Self-defense shouldn't be an issue.

That's more leeway than I was expecting. How do we go about getting approval for concealed carry?

No offense, but we're not gonna just take your word on that.

Texas regulations. We work with a special class of young person.

Ask around then.

So you want a Texas permit before you allow it?

I'd rather have a tour.

You asked about concealed carry. For our purrposes, it will largely depend on your ward's needs, maturity level, and training level which will be determined in an interview with her.

We're out for winter break, and it's the day before Christmas. But I can arrange a tour sometime after the holidays.

You can go ahead and arrange the tour and the interview for after the holidays. Just let me know when.
