Steve didn't like being called a wuss by Bucky. All his life he was brave, even to the point that it was stupid. But something about Peggy Carter gave him chills. At one point in time he thought maybe he loved her, but time had passed and things had changed. She had gotten married and grew old.

But that wasn't the case here. She was nearly from the same point in time as him. He didn't know what to do with himself, coming to terms with the fact that he'd never see her again, only to... see her again.

He went to the base and passed by the guards, as he worked with them. He went to Peggy's quarantine room and knocked on the glass, grinning stupidly and alerting her to his presence.

	"I'm sure I won't. You're all wonderful after all," she said with a smile. "I look forward to getting to know everyone though," she told him truthfully. What happened happened but she wanted to focus on her life here and now and not what was and what might be. That never ended well. "So it seems and dinner sounds good.
