I'm the Doctor.

My companion and I were taken prisoners by some vikings and taken to their village. To try and get out of the situation, I attempted to impress them with my superior technology, claiming I was Odin. But then a better Odin impostor than I showed up and ruined it all.

Some people may think Odin's an odd name. It's all in the perspective.

Force of habit. In my home-universe, a fortnight never passed before somebody or something was trying to kill me, and I suspect it was pretty much the same for a lot of other people brought here.
