So they're telling me this isn't a portkey malfunction, and I gotta say that the bloody States would be quite a portkey malfunction and I'd be lucky to be in one piece but I swear the portkey office is more inept than it used to be, and this isn't France.

But also they're saying Bill's here. So. Bill Weasley, are you here? I thought you were in France. What are you doing here? And what have you done with the twins? Uncle Gideon's gonna tan your hide if you've misplaced them.

Weirdly I get that. Uncle Gideon and I have been fighting. Or... I don't even know if that's what you'd call it. I feel like we're a burden he didn't want a lot of the time, and particularly I've been feeling it recently. But I'm not really talking to people about it either. Other than Uncle Fabian I think you're the first person I've talked to about it.

I guess it's easier when it's not home.

I don't know that I prefer it. I liked dragons, and magical creatures - it was one of my best subjects. But I got the offer for the Cannons. Well, I got a couple of other offers too, but the Cannons - it was always Dad's favorite team and I remember him always rooting for them, you know. So. It was like, maybe I could win a game, or more. Maybe someday the cup.

We were colleagues and competitors. But the best sort.

Sorry. That's kinda rotten of him - especially if you're used to it. Growing up is that, but I don't know if it has to be. I don't know, I'm not certain I've got a relationship quite like what you guys have. Like, we get along, and we get together sometimes, have good times, she'll call me out on shit.

Kinda yeah. I mean, also I liked the notion, but yeah. I guess I wanted to think Dad would be proud of me. Maybe other me had different opportunities. It sounds cool.

In the books, we get married and have a son. And then... we die in the war. Which is why I don't want to go back.

	We're in them, but Harry's the main character. All of the Displaced have stories about them. Some of them have shows on the telly. It's freaky.
