So they're telling me this isn't a portkey malfunction, and I gotta say that the bloody States would be quite a portkey malfunction and I'd be lucky to be in one piece but I swear the portkey office is more inept than it used to be, and this isn't France.

Obviously.

But also they're saying Bill's here. So. Bill Weasley, are you here? I thought you were in France. What are you doing here? And what have you done with the twins? Uncle Gideon's gonna tan your hide if you've misplaced them.

Huh. Wonder if that's true in mine too. I always just figured he was an asshole. More or less.

Charts are great, although usually I'm charting Quidditch stuff, not family trees.

For what it's worth, you've been super helpful.

Yeah, the Ministry was a push behind it. That's kinda why I figured it was just ineptitude at first. I know what Fred and George are getting at Hogwarts isn't what I got.

I don't know. I got the impression he deflected because of what happened to Lily, but if Lily survived in your world, who is to say? I met him, briefly, and he wasn't as bad as I was lead to believe from recounts made by others.

I'd not be able to read a Quidditch chart. But I'l get to work on it for you soon.

I try. I know this can be exceptionally difficult and that is without the added confusion of multiverses.

Perhaps, later on, you can sit down with me and we can talk some more about this? Increased restrictions are concerning if you ask me.

Yeah, I mean, it's not like he ever talked personal stuff with me, which I was all right with. He yelled alot at me, which to be fair, I wasn't the best at Potions, but at the same time, he seemed to rather delight in removing points from Gryffindor.

Thanks.

So, uh, do you live at the Burrow?

I can when we get out. I'd like to meet you in person, and I mean, Uncle Gideon says they've helped. Generally people seem to support them, but then again, generally I wouldn't have believed there was anyone around who'd want to cast Dark Marks either.

That sounds about on par with what Neville used to tell me about him.

You're welcome.

Oh, no. Absolutely not. [...] I wouldn't function well in that environment. I like to have space to myself and I used to hate visiting when I was younger. Too many people. I have an apartment with my daughter and wards. [...] A lot of the others are there. I suspect they'll let you stay.

We can meet for tea once you've had time to settle. And I'd enjoy meeting in person as well. Perhaps once you've told me more then I'll have a better understanding of where Gideon's stance came from.

Longbottom? He’s a good kid. He just lost his mom in my world and the aurors won’t leave Frank alone. Which is bullshit. When your parents are murdered it’s bad enough without ministry dicks roaming around blaming people you care about.

That’s fair. Gideon and I don’t always get along, which is largely, he makes me feel like a third year, so I moved out of my Uncle’s a while ago. Tonks was asking about me living there. It I don’t know if it’s be weird. Especially if other me is there seeing as he has yet to speak to me.

He’s an Auror. So a) rules are good and b) there’s been a marked decrease in accidental injuries and domestic violence since blah blah blah.

[...]

That may not be a fair representation of his views. I’ll work on that.
