So, after I poked my nose into some of Sherlock's work, he advised I get in touch about that good word you offered him for a job? Who do I need to talk to and are bribes required?

And thank you, for the offer at all.

Hey. Yeah, I can do that for you. You'll need to come down to the station, fill out all the paperwork (so much. so boring). I already sort of buzzed in the boss's ear to see if there were any openings.

So it's just a message away.

As for the bribes.... I'd love to meet up with you and Sherlock sometime for coffee.

Well, there's always some need for the boring stuff, I can handle it.

Thanks very much.

And I really don't see that being a problem, I'm sure we'd love to. I'm glad Sherlock's had someone to keep him from becoming a total hermit.

You know police work. Not all the fun stuff.

He helped keep me sane when I lost my other half. It was the least I could do.

Thankfully, we tend to skip the less than fun stuff. A perk of being a consultant is much less paperwork.

He's surprisingly sensitive about things like that, given his views. But it's good that you both had some support.

Leave the paperwork to someone else. Why didn't I think of that?

His views?

There's a lot of perks to Sherlock's way of working. I thought they were just an attempt to stay distanced at first, turns out it's a little more practical.

On love. Relationships in general. Those things. He's lightened up a little about other people's perspective on it but not to the point of conventional thinking.

Let's be real though. Some of it is to stayed distanced.

We never talk about that really. Except when it comes to people we care about.

He's always going to have some barriers. I've accepted that.

I suppose he's learned how to be a little tactful. He used to denounce the entire concept of monogamy loudly whenever it came up. Until recently.
