Good evening. I'm Princess Allura of Altea. This would be my very first time visiting Earth, and I must say... I expected an entirely different kind of greeting other than being told I won't be let out of one room for two quintants.

It's another displacement into another reality. However, it differs greatly in character than the one we've (depending on when you're from) experienced before. A more complex one, actually, since we've moved between universes, across space, and across time. Also we are sort of like the cat of Schrödinger's cat (it's a thought experiment in earth's history) wherein to those outside the box, we could either be here or in our universe (instead of alive or dead) but to us, the cat, we are very much in one specific universe.

If I had to venture a guess as to the "most of us" part of the equation, it may be that once this vortex established a connection with our universe it became easier for us to be connected with it, ie brought here. Still incredibly unlikely (which shows in that we have six people out of a whole universe) but... more likely than before.

	Yes that's the gist of it. Keith and Lance are from about the time of the Voltron history lesson, and Shiro's from when he went missing. Which if we left our universe would explain going missing, but it's not that, clearly. Which I am glad for since otherwise Hunk would need to find four other paladins now.
