So, dimensions and portals and ... alternate worlds. That's a thing now? I'm not sure I buy all this.

But fine. Quarantine, for two days. What's the recommendations for TV?

There's a new series on called "Mindhunter." It's based on a True Crime book, so that might be right up your alley.

I'm Liv, by the way. Liv Moore.

That sounds very like something I’ll enjoy. Thanks.

I’m Joan Watson, pleasure Liv.

I haven't watched it yet, but the reviews are pretty good. It was the talk when it first came out.

Like... Dr. Watson?

Well, I do have two days to spend in here, I'll let you know if it's that good.

...yes. I was Dr Watson. I don't practice medicine anymore though.

Thanks. I've been watching all of Grey's Anatomy from the beginning.

Technically, I'm a Dr too, but I had to change from heart surgeon to morgue so I feel you.

I get so picky about medical dramas. Start yelling at the screen 'that's not how it works'.

That's quite the change. Change in circumstances?

Yeah, Grey's is bad about that but it's good to have in the background when you're doing other things.

You could say that. A change in life — or, I guess UNlife circumstances is more accurate. I went to a party, got scratched by a zombie, and now I am one. I didn't feel safe being around living people.

My partner tends to think of very inventive background noise.

Well that... Would be a very good reason for a change in pace for career. Zombie, huh. You're really coherent for a zombie.

I'm not sure I should ask what kind. We tend to use music, maybe a TV show if we're trying to focus at the morgue. Well, Ravi and I did.

They work a little differently in my world. So long as you get brains at least once a month, you stay coherent. If you don't and you end up going full on zombie mode and starving, it is, currently, impossible to come back from. I try not to let that happen, thus working in a morgue. It's gross, but useful. I work in the sheriff's morgue, which means these people died under suspicious circumstances. My kind of zombie picks up traits and has visions from the brains we eat. It's useful for helping solve their deaths.

With Sherlock, it could be anything. Learning folk music, tree carving with a chainsaw, experiments with pots and pans. Shooting things inside the house.

Crime fighting psychic zombie? Sounds like a tv show At least you're still getting to live, kind of. I take it reversal isn't possible?

Tree carving with a chainsaw! That'd be something to see, but not necessarily something I'd want as background noise while I work.

It's become possible recently, but someone stole the cure.

Well, it was an attempt to get the neighbours to leave.

That sounds like another crime to solve. Hopefully without a brain needing to be eaten.

An attempt? It didn't work?

It's definitely not my favorite part of being a zombie, though I do like going into adrenaline zombie mode. It's good for stopping people who need to be stopped.

Sort of? Before he could start an electrical fire broke out.

You're a regular little superhero then? Just with a really odd diet.

Oh. It didn't hurt anyone, did it?

Not a superhero. I just try to use whatever this terrible thing has given me to at least give back. It's bad enough I have to take people's brains. (NOTE: I never kill anyone to get them.) But sleep is one of those things I don't get a lot of. Food tastes like nothing without tons of hot sauce on it. My heart beats once per minutes. On the plus side, I can get shot and not die.

No, hotel owner trying to undermine insurance values on 'away-ca' homes, but no one was home thankfully.

It definitely sounds like you got the raw end of the deal, and yet you've managed to turn it around and into something that helps people. It's kind of superhero like.
