I got my hope up for a moment that I was actually back at Brakebills and then I remembered them saying the Cottage was here. Which is just great. The Universe could have done me a solid and brought something useful, like Brakebills, and instead I get Animal House.

And when the hell did we acquire a cat in here?

I need to find another place of residence. Alina? Teddy? Do you have a suggestion?

I'd like to hear more about your world sometime. That's not how things really played out in 2009 in my world. Alternate timelines are fascinating. I'm aware of close to 40 variants of my actual timeline but it is all pretty localized to my community and nothing on a global scale.

A lot of people in my world can't make it by without a roommate either. Company can be nice.

You want to go grab some coffee or something, chat a while and see if you think you'd like a roommate like me? You could pretty much move in with me anytime, but it's nothing posh, and we could spend some time looking for something a little nicer.

Yes. Yes I'd like that. I'm free anytime that is good for you.

I'm just getting resettled and trying to figure out what in the refrigerator became inedible in a week and a half.

We could meet at the Espresso Pump?

Is that how long you all were gone? That doesn't seem that long.

Sure. Hopefully I can figure out where that is with the GPS.

I think... about. I'd have to count up the actual days, and the ones there were a little fuzzy, but it was around that length of time I think.

I've just got a bike, but I could ride over and we could walk it together if you'd rather.

I suppose any unplanned camping trip is too long regardless.

If you want. I definitely need out of here.

It really is. I prefer my wilderness expeditions to be well stocked.

Sure thing, I can help with that. I'll come over.

Me too.

I'll be outside. Do you know where the Cottage is? I'm not used to it having an address.

I think so. We'll find out pretty quick I guess.

See you soon -- hopefully.
