The merchant waits. He sits with his back against a lamppost and a blanket spread out in front of and under him. The monsters who usually haunt this place are nowhere to be seen, and there is a horse-drawn wagon stood not too far away from where he's seated.

Apparently it's Rat's turn to walk the dog today. And by walk he means be bodyguarded by and by dog he means an alarmingly powerful teenage girl who seems to have adopted them.

It's the same thing, really. Either way they head out when the announcement comes on the radio, not from any particular pressing need for weapons or drugs or anything like that, but more because this is the first sign of a local they've seen or heard since arriving. Walking there doesn't take too long, and ever since Jade moved in, they've been able to get through the streets with a minimum of normal-sized monsters.

When they arrive, Rat looks around casually, hands in his pockets, waiting to see if anything catches his eye, or Jade's.

	Jade is a ~~good dog~~ bright, caring young ~~dog~~ girl, who is on a walk with her ~~master~~ friend Rat! Of course, once she actually sees the merchant and his wagon, she's running just a little bit ahead of Rat. She's the exact opposite of casual. "Oooh! How cool!" Shion is walking the other dog, the dog that is actually a dog, well part dog. And it is not so much walking as carrying and trying to stop the little monster from scratching his eyes out.

He saw the merchant as well, and went to see what was going on. He reached the merchant the same time as Jade.

"Hello Jade! Hello!" The second hello was to the merchant who got a bright smile from Shion, Rat got a smile as well when Shion spotted him.
