Where: Imenry's room at the Inn, Redcliffe
When: 30 Molioris (Morning, after return to Redcliffe)
Summary: After a rather... interesting reunion with her childhood friend, Imenry retreats to the Inn to have a bath and some rest. As if Brennan is going to let her get off that easy.
Rating: T for nudity (of the non-sexy type) and language
Imenry had never been one for public confrontations or public displays of any sort really. She'd sometimes gotten the reputation for being rather cold, though anyone who knew her well enough would argue that point. She was loyal and caring as a friend, though she often held herself apart in general. And as a lover well... she would never be called cold. Or she certainly hadn't in the past. Now however, she was too tired to feel much of anything. The stench of burned darkspawn was beginning to get to her, and she wondered if her clothes could even be salvaged or if they would have to be burned. She hoped not. She didn't exactly have an extra pair of pants or boots and the boots were the one article of clothing she'd kept from home. She didn't exactly want to lose them.
At the bar she asked the server to heat up some water and bring it to her room, leaving some coin as a tip for the job before taking the narrow wooden stairs two at a time. Once in her room she slipped sword and sheath from her back, carefully lying in on the bed along with her pack. She sat at the foot and unlaced her boots, setting them aside. She would have to see to cleaning them later. The serving girl soon arrived with the buckets of hot water, which were emptied into the standing tub tucked into the small alcove at the far end of the room. Imenry thanked her and shut the door at her back.
Digging into her pack she pulled out a small slither of wrapped soap. It smelled minerally and slightly like roses. It had been a 'gift' from a merchant in Orlais some time ago now... probably a hint that she believed Imenry ought to bathe more, but it had been kept for practical reasons and used most sparingly. She would have to purchase a new one soon, maybe one that didn't smell like flowers. Why did people think it was necessary for a woman to smell this way? Scoffing to herself she undid the lacing of her top, tossing corset and shirt to the floor. Pants and socks followed and Imenry gratefully sank into the warmth of the tub. It was not quite long enough for a woman of her stature to extend her legs, but it would do the job and with the flowery soap she set to washing off the smell of death and decay and soot, hoping to wash away the horrible memories of that house in the orchard.
