I don't think I've ever been "dress coded" a day in my life before. Uniforms are just... much easier, and even when I couldn't afford the school uniform, no one ever went out of their way to stop me in the halls and ask what I thought I was wearing. Well, despite my friends but I suppose I forgive them for that. Mostly.
There was nothing distracting or revealing about what I was wearing. Yes, I had on a tank top. But it was over another shirt. If collar bones are that distracting to you, maybe you should reconsider your job of teaching teenagers.
I don't understand the United States's weird obsession with controlling what people wear, and at the same time not just... giving a uniform. Because that's somehow "too restricting".
