Ororo's office; late afternoon; attn: Ro

His conversation with Ada still in the forefront, Scott eventually made his way to Ororo's office. It'd be the first time they'd spoken since the rescue, and he found himself missing the other woman.

They'd always been close, like brother and sister at times, and he felt bad for avoiding her, because, truth be told, that's what he was doing.

He'd been acting like a spoiled child, and he was ashamed of it. If it hadn't been for the children's disappearance, he probably never would've snapped out of it, instead choosing to sulk and pout.

Heading upstairs, he knocked lightly on the door of her office. "Hey, Ro, you busy?"

Ororo's Office, 11AM, ATTN: Logan and Scott

Ororo had spent the better part of the night in the Danger Room trying to get a handle on her temper. Spending hours letting her abilities rage at computer generated zombies had helped (whoever put that video game protocol in the Danger Room commands was a godsend), and the fire had cooled to an icy calm.

She'd just finished teaching her morning history class to a room full of students who knew something was up just based on her mood. Now she was waiting in her office for Logan and Scott to arrive so that they could 'discuss' the issue at hand.

She tapped her pen impatiently as she tried to grade papers while waiting. At this point she just wanted to get this over with.

They'd let the kids hang for long enough. For his part, Logan just didn't want to deal with any of it, his role was usually to laugh at the adults who were in charge for being dumb enough to choose such a vocation, but here he was and it just wasn't as funny on this side of the desk. He wondered if Scott would ever come back, if he even wanted Scott to come back, if he'd ever have a chance again to just be Logan instead of Headmaster of Xavier's Institute for Gifted Children. What a huge cosmic joke that was.

He fiddled with a pencil as he looked at his comrade-in-arms sitting across the desk from him. "I'm thinkin' some kinda manual labor involves me wakin' 'em up at five in the mornin', drill-sergeant style."

Early/Mid Morning; Danger Room; Attn: Dani

The nice thing about doing a morning run in the Danger Room was that the chances of anyone else using the room were slim to none, even those in a horrible temper.

But Ororo had promised herself she wasn't going to think about that situation this morning. She needed to get a sense of Dani's abilities before she even attempted to start training. That's why she was here this morning rather than brooding into her third cup of coffee. Ok, maybe not brooding. By cup three she was usually regaining her higher brain functions enough to avoid brooding.

The point remained.

Ororo keyed in the programming into the Danger Room while she waited for Dani. The girl said she was powerful, and Ororo didn't doubt that, but first time in the Danger Room, it was best to keep it simple, or relatively anyway.

She finished and stepped onto the platform to wait for Dani. This would be an interesting morning.

Dani was sitting on Brightwind's back as he descended to land in front of the Institute. She still wasn't sure that this was the best plan in the universes, but before he died, her grandfather had wanted her to come here. She had planned on coming here before now, but there had been that whole getting kidnapped to Asgard that had interfered with her plans.

The first time she had come back, it had been to find the institute in ruins and Charles Xavier dead. Then she had been kidnapped to Asgard, helped save the day and become a Valkyrie. She sighed, running a hand along Brightwind's neck as she slid off of his back. Since coming back from Asgard, she had stayed in the mountains where Black Eagle had lived. It was only because of the dream reminding her of her promise to him that she was even here now.

It seemed that even with his friend dead, her grandfather wanted her at the Institute.

"Well, Brightwind, I wonder what happens now."

The Institute, Noon-ish, ATTN: Logan

Alright. She'd gotten back, gotten settled, even gotten a little bit of sleep. But since she was back she was sort of anxious to get back to work. After all, she'd just spent three months effectively cooling her heels (however necessary it had been). Now she needed stability and purpose, which is what she'd always had at the institute.

To that end, Ororo made her way to Logan's office after lunch. The best way to start was to find out what had happened while she was gone so she could figure out where to fit herself in. She wasn't picky. Just as long as she was useful.

She knocked on the door.

Back in town. Institute, Evening, Open

Home.

She never remembered how much she missed it until she left for a while. Ororo Munroe stood in the grand entryway of the Xavier Institute and just looked around for a few moments. It looked so much like it had before the explosion that she almost expected the Professor to come wheeling down the hall at any moment.

It didn't hurt to think about the professor and the others as much anymore. She'd dealt with her grief, and if there had been a few avalanches or surprise cloudbursts in the areas she'd been in recently, she'd at least made certain they happened in unpopulated areas.

And now she was home. Time to see who was here, who was new, and who was gone again.

It was good to be home.

[Open to any and all. Who wants to welcome Ororo home?]
