After leaving Mickey’s house, Mannix found himself wandering around town, finally getting acquainted with where everything was as he tried to gather his thoughts. There was a diner, and a market. A salon and a glass blowing shop. A number of other little stores that he peered in the windows to. It was long past closing time, but they’d open in the morning, when he could no longer visit. It wasn’t that he wanted to, but that he couldn’t that bothered him. Even if he’d yet to try out the sunlight issue, he believed it, and that was going to cause more problems with his way of life than anything else.
Eventually he found his way to his sister’s house and he knocked quietly on the door, despite the late hour. He didn’t want to wake her, but he needed to talk to Jack and it couldn’t wait till morning.
Jack happened to be there, half crashed out on the couch out of boredom. He nearly had gone out to check in on one of the two lovely brunettes that currently had his attention, but in the end figured he'd wait til tomorrow. Their sister was asleep much earlier, she had a day job.
When Mannix got there, Jack opened the door. "Where've you been?" he asked curiously. He hadn't seen him since the riot. "Shackin up with Miss Bright Ideas?"

Where: Mickey's House
When: Noon-ish

It had been late when Mannix had returned back to Mickey’s house, currently the only house in Delphi that could shade him from the sun. It wasn’t quite dawn yet, but he’d been up all day and he figured he’d exhausted himself to the point where sleep would come easily. He was right-- the moment he collapsed on Mickey’s couch, he was out, which was just how he wanted it. No dreams of how’d he’d fucked up an already fucked up life, no nightmares of blood or destruction. Just the sleep of the dead.
He wasn’t sure what woke him, though it was probably the light coming in from the curtains. He wasn’t nocturnal by nature, at least not yet, so even if he hadn’t had eight hours rest, he awoke, sitting up on the couch and looking around the living room.

Where: The park
When: Early evening

Nic had hit a point where he was wound so tight he’d do just about anything to relax. It wasn’t just all the bodies that had come in the night before. No, it was finding out why they’d come in, or what they might have become. Zania’s afternoon visit had been fascinating, but left him in a state of mild shock. Zombies had been hard to accept, but he could rationalize it to an error in science. Vampirism, not so much. There was no scientific explanation for what was wrong with her. When she left, Nic had promised to help her move the rest of her things, then promptly sat himself down and lit up a bit of the stash he’d bought from Skylar. Then he decided to go for a walk in the rain, because that sounded relaxing. At present, Nic was laying in the park, looking up at the sky as the rain fell down on him. It was the best he’d felt all week.
