Subject:Doesn't Seem To Matter as Much
Time:01:36 am
Who: Mannix and Mickey
Where: December’s House
When: Night

Now that everyone seemed to be accounted for, maybe, just maybe, he could get that drink with December. It’d been forever since they’d talked about it. Since the full moon, maybe? And it just kept getting put off as crisis after crisis landed at their feet. While she still might have a morgue full of bodies, he was pretty sure that cause of death was clear for at least half of them, so maybe he could sweet talk her into taking a night off. It was with that in mind that he knocked on the door, hoping he had to drag her out of the house, rather than out of the morgue.

Mickey was up, his sleep scheduled a little fucked after having just crashed for almost a full day after everyone was accounted for. He was partially on December’s schedule, a result of sleeping on her couch, making sure he saw her if she left for work, making sure she was around, alive and well and he had a feeling that went two ways. They were getting better, or maybe just starting over. It left Mickey at ease with everything, which was an improvement on everything else. What had happened to him was still weighing heavily on him. His cuts were still there, including the one on his forearm, bandaged even if it could have gone without because he didn’t want to look at it. There were still bruises on his face and he was still in pain, still hurting both mentally and physically, but it was getting better. Slowly. He heard the knock, frowning and heading towards the door. “Did you forget your keys?” he asked opening it and finding himself staring at Mannix. “Oh, um, hey.”

Time:08:45 pm
Who: Mannix and Mickey
Where: December's Porch
When: 2am

Mickey hadn’t expected howls. He’d walked outside, heard those, then went back inside for his shotgun. It wasn’t a long walk to the hospital, but he wasn’t about to deal with whatever was howling. Because that was new. And new wasn’t really good these days. Out of habit he looked towards December’s, looking for lights, though having a feeling she was at the hospital if she could swing it. What he wasn’t expecting was someone on her porch, and he headed that way, gun at the ready at least until he saw who it was. Fucking vampire. “What are you doing here?”

Time:08:42 pm
Who: Mannix and Mickey
Where: Mickey's House
When: Noon-ish
Warnings: Language

It had been late when Mannix had returned back to Mickey’s house, currently the only house in Delphi that could shade him from the sun. It wasn’t quite dawn yet, but he’d been up all day and he figured he’d exhausted himself to the point where sleep would come easily. He was right-- the moment he collapsed on Mickey’s couch, he was out, which was just how he wanted it. No dreams of how’d he’d fucked up an already fucked up life, no nightmares of blood or destruction. Just the sleep of the dead.

He wasn’t sure what woke him, though it was probably the light coming in from the curtains. He wasn’t nocturnal by nature, at least not yet, so even if he hadn’t had eight hours rest, he awoke, sitting up on the couch and looking around the living room.

Subject:Another Good Deal
Time:11:12 am
Who: Mannix and Mickey
Where: Trader’s Market
When: Morning
Warnings: None

Mannix sat behind the table at his booth, a dismantled radio spread out in front of him. It would be worth keeping or selling if he could get it to work, but so far he hadn’t been able to pick up a signal and he knew there was one inside the dome. There was at least one radio station in every dome, providing news and music to it’s citizens. It made him miss the days of endless radio stations. There were even more on the outside, since they weren’t controlled, but you had to be within range of someone broadcasting and that wasn’t all that often. People had better things to do. In fact, there were probably better things to fix, but fixing wasn’t exactly Mannix’s expertise. If he could talk the radio into fixing itself, that’d be an entirely different story. He flipped the switch again and ran slowly through the dial. Nothing but fuzz.
