So, um, Nico got affected by whatever this is. He's currently ten and I've explained most of it to him, but just so everyone knows.

A bit. I mean, my powers and Nico's still work here, which is how we know we're not totally cut off from them. But then again, usually gods just leave demigods alone, unless there's a quest or the world is ending.

Yeah, it's odd to go from commanding hundreds of soldiers in the Roman legions to being viewed like a kid here. But I'm grateful to have you and Jaina and Jacen as well.

I'd rather help my brother carry it than have him holding onto it all by himself. At least we all know what's happened and we're on the same page now. It's just weird to think about mostly. I had things I wanted to do. It's weird to know I won't get a chance to do them.

Yeah, same. I mean, not that I was commanding hundreds of soldiers or anything, but we were definitely fighting and it's just weird to not be doing that as much.

I can see that. It's a lot easier now knowing that I don't have to hide things from Nico - about what happened on our last quest.

I think sometimes I'm too used to people dying young. It's common among demigods.

I think that's part of the reason I'm trying to get this academy or whatever going is to get some of that back. And make sure we're ready for whatever this world throws at us next.

I've done the end of a world. I've felt everything screaming. I don't ever want to feel that again. No quest could be that bad.

Jacen tries to carry everything by himself and it isn't good for him. I'm glad that at least this he doesn't have to anymore. I'd rather sort through it on my own terms and be able to help take care of him.

There are too many monsters in our worlds and someone has to keep the world safe. If that's us, then it's us.
