My God. I have seen much that baffles the mind: artifacts that can fell whole civilizations, echoes of supernatural beings from before the dawn of man, and a pretty redhead in Florence who could put her entire foot in her mouth. But this?

This little square macchina that writes out my words and can paint a handsome face in the blink of an eye? Fantastico! I only wish I could show it to da Vinci.

Perdono. I am Ezio Auditore da Firenze. Please forgive me if I process the rest of this madness in my own time.

1507, you said? I have a thing about 16th-century Italy.

Should I keep an even closer eye on my belongings, then?

I'll keep my hands off, but you should definitely show me.

Yes, all right. I rarely get to show off my equipment.

While you're at it, hit me with your best 16th-century Italian. I need to see if I'm as good at it as I think I am.

As you wish. But if you butcher my beloved mother tongue, I will obviously have to kill you.

My pronunciation's probably horrible. I mostly just read it.

I'm a descendant of a pretty famous 16th-century Italian, but he's a little after your time.

I promise you, Signor Drake, I will not actually murder you for bad pronunciation. No matter who you are descended from.

Just making sure, because your ally seems really interested in beating the crap out of me.

Something tells me you've enjoyed earning that response.

She doesn't like the fact that I try not to hit women.

You try not to hit women? As in, you try not to abuse them or you refuse to fight them?

He didn't want to fight us in the ring. Requested that men and women be split up at the start. I disagreed and informed him we would prefer if he treated the women just as he would any man he was fighting.

He's done decently well with that so far. I suppose.

Ah. Perhaps he should only be against women then. I imagine that concern would fade before the bruises do.

We have an equal-opportunity Fight Club. I'm not the kind of guy who hits women, so when women ask me to hit them, I get a little weird about it. Evie takes it as a personal insult.

I won't pretend I have always been the most progressive of men. But I know there is a difference between being the kind of man who hits women and being the kind of man who respectfully meets them in the ring.
