My God. I have seen much that baffles the mind: artifacts that can fell whole civilizations, echoes of supernatural beings from before the dawn of man, and a pretty redhead in Florence who could put her entire foot in her mouth. But this?

This little square macchina that writes out my words and can paint a handsome face in the blink of an eye? Fantastico! I only wish I could show it to da Vinci.

Perdono. I am Ezio Auditore da Firenze. Please forgive me if I process the rest of this madness in my own time.

It's what my father would have wanted for me, and it's the life I know. I had agreed to move to India in the near future before I arrived here, but I'd already started looking forward to learning more of their own Brotherhood.

You'd miss the thrill. Which is natural, I'd say, as it makes you feel a world above everyone else, yes?

India. Big change, why India?

As a kid you always want your life to be something special, don't you? Everyone wants a little adventure.

[...] Marriage. And to restore the Maharaja to his rightful place.

I think everyone does, yes. Few manage it, depending on what their requirements are for special. Doing something different and exciting always offers that, along with the feeling of adventure and like you are ... extraordinary.

Yeah, that was it — I never settled down, I couldn't. I had to see things, do things. I got obsessed with this one thing and I didn't care what I had to do or wreck in order to figure it all out. It was adventure. But [...] Elena makes me feel that way, too. And I did a lot of crap to her that I shouldn't have done, just to keep going, and then I didn't want to be that way anymore. She's more important to me, so ... if it comes down between getting in a boatload of trouble and Elena, I'm picking Elena. At least, that's what sounds good now.

Your husband-to-be make you feel that way?

Actually, at one point we were on a mission, he messed up, was injured and I had to let the target go in order to help him. We had our first fight that moment, as I was quite angry over the idea of giving up a mark due to the need to keep him alive, but I still did it without hesitation.

But he isn't my husband-to-be, not really. Henry is a lot of things, including a great man, and I am fond of him very much but.. well. Only just fond.

I don't know why I'm telling you this.

Chloe always got on my ass about my need to bend over backwards to save people, but ... sometimes you can go back to the mark. You can go back to the mission, even if it's harder. You can't replace the people that matter to you.

So you were willing to move to India to marry him, but he's not your fiancé and you're only "fond" of him?

Better to save than the opposite. If we start letting people die in order to further missions we're no better than those we go up against. I just know I tend to be somewhat... Intense.

I realized soon after that I was more excited about the idea of India than I was of marriage. Though I'm sure I'd be quite content with Henry.

You? Intense? Never.

Is it Henry or marriage that freaks you out?

Henry doesn't freak me out, now stop analyzing me.

Go on then, speak your mind.

I've nothing worthwhile to impart about the conversational topic; I just like seeing people I like get on.
