There is too much yet to do to speak to everyone, so I will say it here: Thank you all who fought last night. You acquitted yourselves well, and we lost not one life, soldier or civilian. I could ask for no more.

And if you see Kili in the tavern, buy the dwarf a drink. Without his work with the scouts, we would not have had the knowledge to prepare so well as we did to survive this.

	It certainly makes it easier. What I do hold some very personal anger for is that because of this spell, we were forced to defend the mountain with but half our usual forces. The damage that was done here could have been entirely avoided if we could have gone on the offensive as soon as we were aware of the goblins and their plan. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
