Character updates!
Since a number of characters were/are hospitalized, we figured that having a place to keep track of it all was a good idea so that people can know what to say (or not say) about the injured characters. So here it is. If you have a character who was treated or is being treated for injuries, please reply to this with information on how long they are there and a general idea of what their condition is, as well as whether or not they are being allowed to have visitors and when you plan on having them discharged.

Remember, the hospital that the students will be in is on-campus, so if their parents are allowing them to have visitors and their condition is stable, students should still be able to visit at approved times.

For reference, there were five (permanent NPC) fatalities from the school and a large number of injuries.

ETA: The fatalities were: one middle school student, two high school students, a college student, and one cadet who died in the line of duty while helping with rescues.

Kevin got himself some cracked ribs, a myocardial contusion (bruised heart), a profoundly lacerated kidney, leading to a simple nephrectomy of his left kidney, as well as assorted less drastic internal damage that was tidied up along with the surgery, and a compound fracture of his left femur, which had to be surgically reduced and pinned. All surgeries, of course, performed (VERY carefully) the traditional way since most healers need touch. He did get the healing of his external surgical stitches sped up by a guy who can do very low level healing w/o needing to touch, but that's it.

His parents drove up and got there on Sunday afternoon, once SHIELD contacted them. He'll be in the Reyes Center recovering for a little over a week, and while he'll be awake and allowed visitors by Monday evening he likely won't be very good company for them as he'll be busy FREAKING THE HELL OUT ABOUT JOSH, and sitting with him as much as possible once he's allowed upright...or to hell with being allowed, once he can drag himself to his feet and stagger down a hall pulling his IV stand with him, so they might as well just make everyone's life easier, reduce the chance of him doing himself an injury, and wheel him down. Translation, starting Monday night he'll be spending every waking hour he's allowed, and some non-waking ones, sitting with Josh. And bitching when they make him leave...other than giving Josh's parents some time alone to sit with him, b/c he's not a complete dick just reallyreally worried.

Josh is in a coma.

He suffered a compound skull fracture that due to being a healer was not immediately treated resulting in intracranial hemorrhage and brain swelling that required surgery. When he wakes up, he is going to suffer from focal neurological deficits for a while.

He also suffered a shattered shoulder blade, a fractured collarbone and comminuted fracture of his right arm. So he's also sporting a raised full arm cast. Lastly, he broke his pelvis, and had to have it pinned together. All of the damage to Josh happened along his right side. The little girl he was with, suffered no injuries.

Josh is going to be comatose and unresponsive for a full week.
