NPCs Available for Interaction
So, we're sure you've all noticed we've got a pretty hefty dose of NPCs for this game. Part of that was getting a few of the more potentially world-breaking characters off the table, and part of it was just wanting a decent selection of logical adult/admin/staff characters available as needed. So here's a short list of who we can pull out for you if anyone needs or wants them for interactions:

Scott Summers is 47 and is the chief administrator of the entire NY complex, from preschool through college and including the cadets. You'd have to really blow it to meet up with him. Scott is stern and a stickler for the rules but fair. He does take an interest in individual students, especially those with issues of any kind, with their powers or fitting in. He and Jean are married and have two children, Rachael and Nathaniel, who are Agents on international assignment.

Lorna Lensherr, 37, is headmistress of the college. She is a dedicated academic, and a bit of a hardass. You really don't want to get called into her office. She and her older sister are very dedicated to upholding their 'Uncle Charles' and father's legacy.

Wanda Lensherr-Darkhölme is 40 and is the current headmistress of both the middle and high schools. She is married to Kurt Darkhölme, and they have a five year old daughter, TJ. Her powers were very challenging to learn to control and she's very good at working with students whose powers are giving them trouble. She runs a tight ship, but tends to be fairly lenient about infractions if there was no malice or serious injury involved.

Jean Grey-Summers, 45, is headmistress of the elementary education program and in charge of Cerebra and telepath education. Jean is very warm and approachable to all of her students, but is very busy and doesn't have much time for those not explicitly in her care.

Kurt Darkhölme is 34; six years younger than his wife and only eleven years older than his step-sons...they get along remarkably well and are frequently mistaken for being biologically related. His and Wanda's marriage united two of the most prominent powered families in the nation. He was more than a bit of a trouble maker during his school years and is much more likely to be impressed than incensed by a well-conducted practical joke. He's an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and used to be a field agent but is now on detachment to the Academy and only takes rare field assignments. Instead he teaches multiple classes, mostly geared towards cadets and dealing with strategy/tactics, as well as teaching some of the self-defense/martial arts classes and coaching the combined high school and college fencing team. He's the one you're mostly likely to simply know/run into and to have taken some interest in your life. He can be strict when it's called for, and is a major hardass as a coach, but he's very approachable.

Billy and Tommy Lensherr are 23 years old and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. They are Wanda's sons and Kurt's stepsons. They're relatively recent graduates of the cadet program and attended the Academy from nursery school. If you were at the school two years or more ago you possibly know them and definitely know of them. They were on the fencing team and still drop in to 'help' with it on occasion, so if you're currently on that you're familiar with them. If you knew them when they were students or know Anna Marie Darkhölme now, you also know that they refer to her as "Aunt Anna" when not on official business.

TJ Darkhölme, Kurt and Wanda's daughter, is 5 years old, adorable, and currently attends kindergarten at the Academy.

Raven Darkhölme, who will probably never tell you how old she is, was (along with her partner, Irene Adler) a very prominent figure in the powered rights movement and helped to fund the school when it was first starting out. Currently, she is a very visible officer at S.H.I.E.L.D. whose duties appear to mostly be related to public relations, with very little actual field work. She is also based out of the adjoining S.H.I.E.L.D. facility and gives a few lectures every semester at the Academy. Most students will know her more by reputation than by anything else, though they may have met her once or twice at school functions or following lectures. When she is on campus, it is usually for official business, but does occasionally show up just to observe, partially out of genuine curiosity and partially because she knows that it unnerves some of the faculty and students, and that amuses her just a little bit.

Steve Rogers, is the joint head of S.H.I.E.L.D., along with his non-powered counterpart Nick Fury. He was one of the original activists for powered integration and rights, and was the first powered human to come out publicly as a member of the United States armed forces. He is primarily based at the S.H.I.E.L.D. facility associated with the New York Academy and teaches occasional upper division seminars at the college on military history, ethics, and the history of powered humans. Despite being an exceptionally busy man he can be seen on the grounds with some regularity and it is not unusual for him to simply stop to chat with students...who frequently do not recognize him out of uniform, as he can still easily pass for a (somewhat older) student himself. Every cadet will have had an interview with him when they were offered admission to the program.
