Tensor

Arriving on the weekend had a lot of benefits, Doug told himself again as he pulled boxes and bags out of the trunk of his Prius, stacking them up on the ground. He'd have time to unpack. He'd be able to learn the lay of the land. He'd... be completely bored out of his mind by Monday.

He was bored now. But at least he'd found the important box with 'Unpack Me First' scrawled on the side. It had all the important stuff - electronics, toiletries, and a few changes of clothes because Doug knew himself well enough to know that some of his stuff was inevitably going to be in the wrong box and, rather than have to tear through everything to find clean underwear, had set some aside just to prevent that scenario.

That box was set aside, and all the others shoved back into the trunk, lest someone inadvertently run them over. Doug picked up the one he needed and headed to the dormitory, pausing at the door to wedge the box between the door and his hip so he could open the door and stumble inside.

Time to find his room and start getting this new school thing over with.
