Anna - backdated to Monday morning

To say that Ali wasn't the most observant person in the world would have been putting it mildly. There were just some things that escaped her notice, especially if they weren't blatant or directly related to her in some way. When it came to her clothes, make-up, hair, music and usually coursework, Ali was meticulous. It was the rest of the world and her life that tended to slide a little bit.

So when Ali noticed that her dresser was different but not different and that, well, Anna's dresser was gone, she had to stop and think about what might have happened. A universal truth was that things broke, especially when they belonged to powered individuals. Ali had accidentally burned holes in some of her former roommates clothes over the years. There was an unspoken rule that you replaced things. And tried your hardest not to tell even thought both parties usually found out eventually.

She wasn't mad; she was just puzzled. More than anything she wanted to know what had happened and how she had managed to miss the fun. Holding a bit of splintered wood in her hand, Ali perched herself on the end of her bed and waited. Anna had to come back in soon.
