Piotr - Monday afternoon/evening
Anna turned onto her mother's street, doing a quick search for street parking. Not surprisingly, there was none. It was still relatively early on a Monday, and there were as many cars parked in the area because their owners were at work as there were people who lived nearby. She and Piotr had skipped out on their regular Monday gym time to head into the city so she could pick up something she'd ordered before her mother had a chance to decide she needed to open it.

"I'm pretty sure my mom's out of town." She pulled up to the garage door and glanced over at Piotr. "Not that it would be bad if she wasn't, but just as a general note." Shrugging, she pulled into the garage and into an empty space.

"None... well, I have a paper due at the end of the week, but it's not really something that needs a lot of attention." The doors opened at the lobby level, and she stepped aside to let a woman on, smiling at the woman's somewhat surprised look when she realized which floor Anna and Piotr were going to. Turning back to Piotr, Anna shrugged. "I just didn't know if you needed to rush back or anything."

Piotr smiled politely at the woman who got on to the elevator, and managed to keep his smile from turning into a grin at her look of surprise.

"No rush at all," he told Anna. "Which is probably good, if we're going to my family's restaurant for dinner. I'd get scolded for rushing off."

"If I get to watch a good old fashioned Russian scolding, maybe it's a good idea to have to rush back..." she grinned, giving the woman a polite nod as she got off on one of the other floors. "Is your entire family going to be there?"

He laughed. "Don't worry, I'm sure my mother will find something else to scold me for at some point." Then he shook his head. "My dad's visiting my brother, but my mother will definitely be there. Illyana might be, it depends on what she's up to today."

"I'm sure it will be fun even if it's just your mom." The doors opened and Anna led the way out into the foyer, making a bee-line for the small stack of mail sitting on the table. She scooped it all up and unlocked the front door, holding it open for Piotr to head in. "Should I call her anything specific or just Mrs. Rasputin?"

"Mrs. Rasputin is fine, though she'll probably tell you to call her Alexandra," he told her as he headed inside, though he was definitely craning a bit to try and see what mail she was picking up. "And yeah, it'll definitely be fun. She'll be thrilled to meet you, but I'll keep her from bugging us too much."

Anna shifted her arms slightly so he couldn't get a good look at the box... not that it would matter much. All it said was Amazon.com.

"Your mom sounds like fun." She closed the door behind her and headed toward the dining room table to drop off all of the mail so she could pick hers out of the stack. "And you're going to tell me what to order, right? So I don't make an ass of myself trying to pronounce things?"

He laughed again, and leaned against the wall so he could casually watch her sort through the mail. Yeah. Casually. Piotr wasn't really trying to get much of a look at the moment, though, because it didn't really look like the packaging was going to reveal much.

"I guess I could. Maybe. Of course, that means I might be telling you to order fish eyes, or something."

"Oh, gross... is fish eyes an actual option? You're not really doing a good job of selling me on the whole Russian food thing." She piled her mail to one side, keeping the package in clear view. She wanted to open it, but she wasn't sure she wanted to open it in front of him, mostly because he was actually interested in finding out what was inside. So instead, she picked up a letter and tore it open. "It's not really dinner time yet. Did you actually want to work out, or just hang until it's time to go?"

"It's not actually an option. I was teasing," he replied with a grin. "Though my uncle does love them."

Yeah, he was definitely looking at the package now, and it was really not being helpful. Which made him even more curious, actually.

"I vote for hanging out. Not doing homework, not working out, it'll make today a complete boycotting of the things we should be doing."

"Lazy Monday sounds great," she agreed, nodding as she scanned the letter. It wasn't anything interesting, but Piotr was eying up the package and the longer she stalled, the better. Or maybe calling him on it would be best. "Unless you suddenly got X-Ray vision, I don't think you're going to gain much by staring at it."

"It could happen, you never know," Piotr commented cheerfully, then raised an eyebrow at her. "Or you could tell me what's in it, and save me the trouble of hoping I can suddenly start seeing through things."

Anna shook her head solemnly at his insistence that maybe he would develop X-Ray vision. "I could... why do you care so much, anyway?"

"Because I'm curious?" he offered. "And because you don't want to tell me, which makes me think it's something potentially embarrassing."

"If it's something potentially embarrassing, why do you want me to be embarrassed?" She folded the letter up and looked at the package, then back up at him. Well, he wanted to know. "Open it."

"The same reason you put up that picture of me and Bieber?" he teased. "If it's really that embarrassing, you don't have to tell me, but I'll be free to assume the worst."

Then she told him to open it, and he blinked. Well. All right then. "You sure?" he asked, though he was already moving away from the wall and towards the package.

"Three of us took that same picture," she pointed out. "If I hadn't put it up, someone else would have." She nodded at the package again when he asked if she was sure and floated up to sit on the edge of the table as she picked up another letter. "Go for it."

"Details," he replied, though he knew it was true. He would have been doomed either way.

"All right, then." He was definitely going for it, then, he was way too curious. Although really, it was probably going to end up being something mundane that - oh.

"Huh." He looked at the open package, and then back up at her. "Is this what I think it is?"

She nodded at the package again, then pretended that she cared about whatever the letter in her hand was. Really, she was watching him as he opened it. His reaction to it was something that she was pretty sure she needed to pay attention to.

"I guess that depends on what you think it is," she replied, trying to figure out if his reaction was positive or negative or just confused.

Really, he should have been expecting that question. He grinned a bit, shaking his head at himself, and then forced the grin away. It wasn't like he knew why she'd gotten this, it could just be a coincidence. It didn't necessarily mean she wanted to continue last week's activities some times.

"I, um," he started, then shrugged and decided to go for it. "So does this mean you wouldn't be opposed to some more testing?"

When he grinned, she did too, glad that he found it amusing, at the very least. Tilting her head, she waited to see if he was going to announce out loud what he thought it was. His question was good enough, though, and she shrugged, reaching out so he could hand her the suit. "I do need to try it on and make sure it works... and it would be nice to actually get to finish... testing."

He handed it to her, holding on for just a second longer than he probably really needed to. "It would be very nice," he agreed, letting the suit go. Very, very nice, and he was definitely glad he seemed to have interpreted it correctly.

"Deal, then." Anna grinned, sliding off the table and poking him in the chest with the suit's packaging. She scooped up the insides from the package and headed toward the kitchen. "You thirsty or anything?"

He grinned back, swatting half-heartedly at the packaging, then watched her walk towards the kitchen for a moment before following after her. "Nah, I'm good."
