When I am well enough I want to train again. Is there any one on this ship who has mastered Kendo? Is there anyone who has even done Kendo before? I don't want my training to fall by the wayside. I have to continue so that when I do return, I can make sure my friends stay safe. Please.

	I am. I have been training since I was a small child and am Head Coach of the Shieikan dojo. We practice Tennen Rishin-ryū, if you know of that art. It is wonderful to meet you, Mister Miyamoto! 	I do not believe I am mistaken. I hope I will have recovered soon enough but I am eager to start again. When I arrived here on this ship, I was injured. I was given help and treatment for my wounds. Ah, yes. That would probably be most wise. If there were texts about my future, I would not want to read them either.

Recovery is not always an option on that island. I have to be prepared to fight, even when I should not be able to.

I am sorry... I should not be so quick to protest. You are kind enough to help me. I should listen more... But my heart is impatient.

I have some idea about the outcome of the civil unrest of my time... but it is much too upsetting to investigate further.

Of course I understand why that would be so. Here you need not fight for survival. You have more time than would usually be possible.

Impatience is a common flaw of those young and driven. I have been impatient in the past. One of the things we must learn in our training is to quiet such impulses. More than the body, it is the mind that must be honed and disciplined.

	We are not always as we are when fighting. If your brother was perpetually in the state of combat he would seem cold. Or perhaps he was injured in spirit and had no time to heal. If you wish to further yourself as a warrior you will learn to separate the two states of being and balance them like scales. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
