The TARDIS is broken. People have been plucked from their rightful places in time and space, caught in her matrix. An unfortunate attempt at a coup has left her trapped in a parallel universe, and the Doctors (all versions of him) are helpless to find a way back. The TARDIS continues to reach out to her original universe, attempting to make a connection; however, all she manages is to pull more people into the new universe.
