Ripple Effect
Daciana Montagne had been making a lot of changes lately. Some of them were voluntary. Choices she made so that she could better everything around her. Like the creation of another gallery. An off shoot of The Montagne Gallery for Summerview. One that she was putting completely in someone else's hands. Still taking care of the twins so Darius could finish his new book by its deadline. Working on new paintings for the gallery - both of them. There were a lot of new voluntary changes that she welcomed. There were involuntary changes as well. Like this sudden reawakening to her sexual nature. It had been sudden, unexpected, thanks to a fire chief that... well, she didn't know what happened to him. She'd brought the twins back and found that he was gone. It was disappointing, really, but such was life. Daciana was no stranger to disappointments. At the moment, she was sitting on a rock by the falls in Summerview. This place calmed her. It spoke to her soul in a way that other places didn't. She didn't know if it was the area itself or the abundance of water that surrounded her. If asked, she'd probably chalk it to the latter. Water was a major part of her life, after all. It was part of her who she was... in the literal sense. So it kind of all linked together. The water made her feel like everything was where it was supposed to be. It made her feel like everything was in its place. Like she was in hers. The only thing that ever really made it better was when she was in the water. Fully clothed, she slipped into the water effortlessly, dipping under the surface and coming up moments later, smoothing her hair back. This was perfection. This was where she belonged. This was where everything made sense. |
