Gawain was shaking with fury as he left the Minister's office, though he tried to keep that under wraps. He had been wondering what was happening to the Ministry, what had happened to Pius Thicknesse, and now it had all become clear. The pardoning of the Death Eaters had been writing on the wall, and he just hadn't wanted to read it.

Now he had to include Death Eaters in his search for Harry Potter - and the Minister hadn't even pretended it was about Dumbledore any longer.

He used the lift ride to attempt to calm down. If he was this unhinged, his men would be even more so.

	Viktor was still unsure why he had been called in, he hadn't even realized the Ministry was aware he was in the country. After knocking he was told to come in. "I am Viktor Krum, has my Ministry been informed that I am being interviewed? If not I vish to speak to the Bulgarian representative as soon as possible." He told th two people in the room formally. Brilliant. Two people he had to keep an eye on then.

"Yes, Mr. Krum, they have been. They were most cooperative, though insisted that for anything more than an interview, an attorney would need to be present. I assure you that you are in no trouble and all we want to do is ask a few questions," he told the rather belligerant young man. He held out his hand. "I'm Chief Auror Gawain Robards."

	"I like Eastern Europe and Bulgaria in particular. They have such an appreciation of the proper magic there," Bella drawled. 	Viktor gave the Auror a curt nod, he wasn't going to take any chances of being railroaded by a government that he wasn't sure was stable. "Thank you for that," as he shook the man's hand. 	Gawain cleared his throat. The woman was as mad as a bloody hatter and far more dangerous. "Let's get down to business, shall we?" he said, interrupting the chatter about tradition. Viktor was relieved that the Auror had taken over the interview since he had been very tempted to tell here where she could stick her rediculous thoughts, did she know who his family was? What they stood for?"

The Auror's question caught him by surprise as it was the last thing he would have guessed they wanted to talk to him about.

"Yes, I am an acquaintance of Harry Potter, although I haven't seen him in years. Not since the Tri-Wizard Tournament."

Gawain noted that in the file. "What about Hermione Granger? You were closer to her, weren't you?"

They had yet to get to Granger's house, but he hoped to do that this weekend or next. The influx of interviews he simply had to do had taken some preparation. They'd yet to go to the Weasleys either. And perahps, too, he was dragging his feet about both, though he'd deny it until he was blue in the face to anyone who accused him.

The rash of reports of dark wizards didn't help the workload either, especially when half of the reports were false alarms, which required just as much paperwork and less satisfaction.

	The next question caused Viktor to flush, but he nodded, "Hermione is a good friend yes, ve used to write each other but it has been avhile since that as vell" He hadn't thought about Hermione in a long time, and since his return to England, Hestia had dominated his thoughts. "How good a friend could the Mudblood be?" Really, this was getting no where. Didn't Rhubarb know that the best way to get answers was to provoke someone? Well, actually, the best way to get answers was to torture someone until their mental barriers started shredding and then casting Legimency. "Haven't you been reading the Ministry's pamphlets? Why would you want to be around a creature that stole magic from some poor proper witch?

Gawain gave Lestrange a sharp look. "Thank you, Mrs. Lestrange," he said pointedly, turning most of his attention back to Krum. He did keep half an eye out for the witch, though. She was terribly unpredictable and could probably kill him in the office with witnesses and still be a free woman.

"When was the last time you spoke - either in person or via owl - with Miss Granger? Do you have a way to get in touch with her now?"

Viktor was certain that there had been an audible click when he clenched his jaw, but he did manage to keep his facial expression neutral. The woman was clearly unstable and to response to her jibes would be improper of a gentleman wizard no matter how badly he wanted to hex her.

Turning his attention back to the Auror, he had to think about his last contact with Hermione.

“It has been a long vhile. Probably six to nine months I vould guess. I vas heavily screening my post so her mail might not have reached me if she sent anything.”

	The Bulgarian Ministry had said as much about the boy screening his post. Something about a rather fervent stalker. Gawain couldn't blame him for being careful about who had his address. 	Viktor shook his head at the Auror's question, lately his thoughts hadn't even strayed to Hermione these days. "I'm sorry I can't help you, bu I haven't had any communication with Hermione in some time, and I highly doubt I would be the first person she would contact if she needed something." They were going to have to try to locate Granger on their own. He'd take Savage tomorrow to the Granger house, he thought.

"Very well," he said, nodding. "If she does contact you, please let us know."

He glanced over at Lestrange. Should he even ask if she had any questions?

"I have no further questions for you at this time. Thank you for coming in. Your aid is much appreciated."

	Viktor stood and gave each of them a stoic nod, whatever they were looking for he had been unable to give them thankfully. If he did hear from Hermione he would find a way to tell her to keep away from London if possible. "Good day to both of you." When she'd received Viktor's reply owl about his Ministry interview that morning, Hestia had been completely mortified. She was used to working through stress, however, so she found another Healer to cover the remaining time of her shift, and she made her way to the Ministry as fast as she could to find Viktor.

"Viktor," Hestia sighed as she made her way down the corridor, finally catching sight of Viktor. She'd had a bit of trouble finding where he was being questioned, never mind the horrible statue that had greeted her once she managed to get into the Ministry.

"Is everything alright? Why did they need you here today?" Hestia asked in a hushed voice as she approached him and wrapped her arms around him. She knew that she might have overreacted a bit about the whole ordeal, but Hestia couldn't help but think that she was somehow responsible for this. "I came as soon as I could after I got your owl, I wanted to make sure that nothing happened."

Looking up when he heard his name Viktor was confused as to why Hestia was at the Ministry.

"Hestia? Vhat are you doing here? Are you alright?"

He took her into his arms as she was clearly upset and he didn't want anyone to see that. It might be taken the wrong way and after the interview he just went through he didn't want her to have a similar experince.

"Oh yes, I am fine, the Aurors just had a couple of questions about an old friend of mine. I answered their questions and they let me go" He explained.

	Bellatrix had gone in search of a cup of tea as Rhubarb's lack of manners meant he certainly wasn't going to offer her any. And what should appear before her but an opportunity. She strolled up to the couple, pointedly moving to get a good look at the woman's face. Once she'd caught her gaze, she smiled slowly. (Reply to this) (Parent)
