Hey guys!

We’re entering the last week of the game and just wanted to touch on a couple of things. Cortney and I are in the process of writing what we hope will be a fun little epilogue talking about the NPC’s and the future of Woodsbridge and that should be posted soon.

Please feel free to keep posting your epilogues or logs whenever! Remember that we won’t be closing the communities and if you feel inspired to write an epilogue a month from now you’re more than welcome to do so and post it to fableless.

As for the AMA that we’ve discussed, we were wondering how many people would still be interested in that? Most of us are busy right now and if it’s something that gets skipped we won’t mind. But if you have any burning questions you’d like answered we’ll still do our best.

It’s been a real joy playing with all of you. Going into this game, we didn’t have a whole lot of expectations. We just wanted to kick it with a bunch of cool cats and see where the plot took us. Truthfully and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better bunch of people to play with, and it’s been our absolute pleasure to steer this huge ass vessel, and this game wouldn’t be half of what it was if not for all of your ideas and characters helping make this world what it was. Thank you so much for everything. ♥

Hi guys!

As you can see, we’ve just posted the first part of the Remembrance Day Ball IC/OOC, which is essentially the conclusion of our game. Part two will be posted on the 21st, and it will include the Rocs and the Portal opening, as was mentioned on the plot calendar. Those of you who were around for the first ball may notice that we used a lot of the same volunteer spots / had a lot of call backs. We thought it would be a fun subtle way to make things full circle, so feel free to deja-vu it up or otherwise work in some squares for the final challenge!

We’re planning at least one last big SOTU type of post, but in the meantime if you’d like to see any more memes (hypothetical future children? Never have I ever?), or whatever else, let us know! The End can be daunting and all encompassing, so we hope to taper things off in a lighthearted way by incorporating a couple memes up until the end of our game. ♥

Hey guys! We just wanted to drop a quick note about the series of logs that are going to be posted soon. You'll notice that they're forward dated to Thursday July 6th. We're hoping that forward dating will give everyone more time to reply to the IC/OOC that's going up after the logs (especially with it being a holiday week for some of us). We'll put up a note on the 6th when it's okay to update about the events in the logs but until then please save any IC reactions. Thanks! :)

So by now most of you have read the June plot calendar and know that there will be a power swapping plot from the 16th through the 22nd. We wanted to post this early so that everyone had plenty of time to contemplate what they might want to do with the plot and how best to get development (or whatever else you want!) out of it. :)

Hi, guys! So, in order to keep things nice and anonymous, we wanted to put this post up instead of having the player of the character who’s about to be finding stuff out e-mail everyone separately because :) that’s telling.

SO! If you guys don’t mind, we’re going to use this as a little sounding board. If your character was on this list, we would really appreciate it if you could spare a moment to answer these questions that this particular player has, that would be great!

For the sake of having something to refer this anonymous character to, we’re going to be calling him/her The Eyes in this post.

Good time of day, guys!

We have a mini State of the Union for you as we start to gather our mod thoughts.

ONE! If you managed to miss it, please look over our plot-call for Tale Outings here.

We had wonderful number of people offer ALL of their characters, and we will be using ALL characters offered. Because of this, on an OOC level, please keep in mind that AT THIS POINT, if your character is not outed in our plot, specifically, regardless of how close they keep their cards to their chest or how open they are, it will look pretty suspicious of your character is not listed at this point.

If that changes things for anyone, please let us know. If you have any other inquiries regarding this, please let us know and we will do our best to work with you.

At this point, we would also like to ask that if anyone has any family members who are NPCs that they would like outed, please let us know. This is going to lead into our second point for the day, but we are fine with you listing their Tale and Power-- we just ask that you PLEASE be reasonable.

TWO! Tying into our second point, as we mentioned in this post, we have gutted the wanted page. At this point in the game, we are only accepting specific requests. Instead of asking for general, “Talemates,” we ask that we wind down, you ask for lines that will help you, the characters, and the game come to its conclusion.

THREE! Which brings us to our THIRD point! We will be closing the game for holds MAY 15. If you want to get a friend to join or were thinking of picking up another character, please make sure you get those holds in ON OR BEFORE MAY 15.

FOUR! We don’t have an exact date for all of you, BUT we do have a week! We’re aiming to bring the game to a close in the first week of August. Cortney is going to be moving in June, and so we want to be sure to give ourselves a little bit of an end buffer. In this way, we get to bring the game full circle and celebrate Remembrance Day again! If you have any questions about this, please let us know. When we have an exact date, we’ll let you all know. :)

FIFTH! We have started to reach out to people when we think of things or when stuff pops up, but if you’re into us using your character for BIG PLOT REASONS or if you want to write your character out before the game ends, let us know! We’ll do our best to come up with something and work with you.

LASTLY! Don’t forget to reply to the activity check!

We’re trying to get our ducks in a row for an upcoming plot but we’ve hit a point where we kind of need to take the temperature of the game and see how players feel about things before we decide if we’re going left or right.

We’re not going to go with a flatline yay or nay, but rather if you want your characters to be fully outed, this is the plot to do it with.

Please let us know below (or in an e-mail if you’d rather it be a surprise for when the plot goes live) if you are okay with your character(s) being outed. Please give us their information in its entirety re: Name & Tale Name & Powers.

Hello, everyone!

As we start to wind into the more serious / climax of Taleless, we just wanted to bring something up REAL quick since we know a lot of you read NPC things for Adversary clues!

At this point, we’re beginning to reach out to players when we see an organic plot opportunity present itself, and so while obviously anything NPC related is fair game, other logs and even potential journal interactions or moments in IC/OOC threads might contain clues for you.

We’re not going to mark logs in red or give any indication as to who or what or when, BUT once the Adversary is revealed, we plan on making a “clue” tag and going back to tag all relevant journals/logs/etc so that on a re-read, people can have an, “OMG,” or “NAILED IT,” moment. We will also be adding a Red Herring tag, because boy oh boy.

In the meantime, we just wanted to give you all a heads up that reading more than NPC interactions might be to your benefit if you’re into Nancy Drewing the plot. ;) Happy Hunting!

Hey, everyone! This isn’t a mixer, per se. We just wanted to take a moment to lay out some questions and answers in regards to how the past lives are going to work! We tried to be thorough but know that there will likely be questions for us, so we’re going to use this post as a sort of AMA so that y’all can plot as thoroughly as you want before this whole shindig goes live on April 6th.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, a good strategy might be to fill in open lines in other people’s past lives! This way, the hard part of picking dates is done and you don’t have to worry about that ;)

We would also like to take this opportunity to re-link the town archives post! If you have anything you’d like to have added on there (that fit within its guidelines), go ahead and comment there! We’re planning on cleaning that up hopefully sometime this weekend.

Hey, everyone!

Since IJ was down for a handful of days, we wanted to touch base and catch people up on things we worked on mod-wise during that time!

First and foremost, this mini state of the union is functioning as an INTEREST CHECK. We’re forgoing the rest of February's activity check since IJ was down for so long, because February was a short month, and because a handful of people are on hiatus right now. That being said, people, with the exception of those on hiatus, have FIVE DAYS to reply to this post, under the appropriate header. If you don’t check in, we will be e-mailing and sweeping.

For those of you who have yet to hear: Ashley has left the game. We’d like to thank her for all the work she put in, especially with news items and with playing Samantha. We love her and wish her all the best. ♥ For those of you who had plot with Ashley’s characters: Jill got into a performing arts school that she really wanted to attend and moved away very recently. For Veda: she’s still in town with the kids, but she’s going to be an NPC now. Both of these characters will be shuffled to NPCs on the cast page.

Holly and I have divided up the rest of the NPCs.

We have made a new NPC page here! If ever you’d like to log or otherwise ask something of them, don’t be afraid to reach out, especially for plot purposes.

We also tried to consolidate the Terms page, FAQ page, and Witches page into one page. This is still a work in progress, and we plan on adding Past Lives questions to it as well. We’re hoping that by consolidating a couple of pages, it will make things easier to find and easier to access. If you see a question we missed, or an error, or if you have any questions about new information on it (we tried to think of things that have come up in game), please let us know in the proper header below!

REGARDING PLOT AND PAST LIVES: because of the outage, we don’t want anything to feel too fast approaching and we want there to be as little stress as possible. EVERYTHING ON THE PCAL IS GOING TO BE MOVED UP ONE WEEK with the exception of PAST LIVES, which will be moved to APRIL SIXTH. We will be editing the plot calendar itself shortly to reflect the change in dates. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause for you!

We anticipate there are going to be a lot of logs that are going to be posted, so anything that you need to read for plot relevance will be properly labeled in red on anything that’s posted, and we will be linking them here as they are posted, just in case.

As for the outage itself: we’re going to say that IJ’s outage was in character! Samantha Cross was upset about something that you all are free to speculate about, and accidentally fried the servers that the network is on. Oops. Nothing sinister, but this way y’all get a fun little Easter Egg. ♥

In order to jump start slowly, we're going to include a flash reactionary header below! If anything has recently happened that could get people talking, leave it! This includes anything from gossipy rumours to something people legitimately could have seen.

Feel free to use this post to reach out to persons you were in the middle of plot with OR to brainstorm new plot OR discuss what happened during the downtime we had! We’ll throw up a header for that as well.

Hey guys! We wanted to quickly address a couple of topics from our state of the union update now that we have feedback!

1. Thank you for your feedback regarding the pending tone of the game! While we still aren’t sure as to what we want to do, we can promise that the game won’t get anywhere near as dark as any kind of Harry Potter game, or any other kind of war game. We have no desire to murder or kill for shock value, and that anything that does happen will be used in a way that pushes plot. We also won’t be killing any kids or animals, just to put your minds at ease. If you have any other questions regarding this, please feel free to ask them in this entry! ♥

2. We’re putting off our current set of adds until the Age Swap Plot ends, so if you have a pending application it should be added shortly after Monday. We also wanted to issue a reminder that holds will be closing on January 20th and will reopen on February 3rd! So if you’re considering another hold please make sure to get it in by the 20th. <3

We know this is a super busy time of year. Between winter sucking the life out of EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING and also the Holidays demanding attention, it’s hard and lord. We sympathize, and we’re right there with everyone. So! In the interest of pushing plot forward and making things a little easier for and on our WPD players, we thought it would be helpful to compile info that the WPD would have gleaned from Elena and Madison!

Behind the cut is the bulk of information you’ll need to know. If your detective wanted to ask a follow up question to any of this, we’ll also be putting up headers! If anyone is still interested in doing an interview or transcripts, we’re also still game for that! This is a lot of stuff to take in and probably WOULD require follow up interviews and so on, so if you’re interested, please do hit us up later or leave a comment below~

Hi, everyone! Tomorrow ends the Impulse plot which means that gradually, but rapidly over the course of early, early (like, 12 AM) tomorrow morning and a little into tomorrow, your characters will lose their impulses to be true to their Tale and will return to their original selves! They will remember (I mean, presumably. I can’t even remember what I had for breakfast, and if your character is the same way, maybe they WON’T remember everything), everything that they did!

Just another little note to say adds might be a little delayed, but we’ll do our best to knock them out tonight.

Hey, everyone! With holds opening back up tomorrow, we have a few things to touch on!

We know that everyone is sad about the state of the world right now, so for the “Impulse Plot”, we're going to go ahead and open it up for as many characters as you might like to put in as opposed to the initial limit of two. It’s not much but when/if you’re in the mood for RP again, we wanted to offer this up as lighter plot. So, as long as none of these plots result in murder (or crimes that would make characters unplayable) we’re cool with involving as many characters as you want.

Since a lot of characters are going to be doing things they wouldn't initially be doing, feel free to utilize the OOC comm to be like, 'hey! my character is doing this thing and people might know that's unusual,' or 'hey! this is a thing that people can see. hit me up or feel free to react.'

Instead of kicking it off tomorrow, if you would like to say that your characters followed the breadcrumbs sometime TONIGHT and INTO tomorrow, that's cool with us as well!
