Thread: Damage Control
WHO: Sorin & Ellie
WHEN: After THIS and immediately following THIS, Monday evening.
WHERE: Ellie's room, Pegasus Dorm
Being with Sidro always calmed Sorin down, helped him feel at ease, loved, like he was making the most out of his choices and his mistakes weren't so huge as they seemed at the time. Sidro's calming presence was the peaceful balm to Sorin's frayed edges and by the time the Serbian empath left, Sorin was much more himself and prepared to resolve his hurt feelings with Bayani once and for all.
That is, until Sorin heard Ellie scream Bayani's name in a not so nice way. The serenity of the moment was shattered. The witch shot up from his desk and moved for the door. He didn't bother grabbing shoes, seeing as Ellie's room was just down the hall from his, and his bare feet slid on the carpet runner, almost unbalancing him. When he arrived, the candles were lit, Bayani was nowhere to be seen - Sorin hadn't been able to catch the speedy vampire's movements even if he had been on time - and Ellie was standing alone in her room.
Sorin immediately shooed away the gawking Pegasus students who had already started whispering with theories on what had happened and he moved into her room and closed the door firmly.
"Ellie," he started towards the pyromancer, hand outstretched to find hers and get her to turn around. "Ellie, what is wrong? What happened? Where is he?" His eyes shot to the window, knowing sometimes Bayani used that exit. No sign of the dark haired boy.
Sorin chewed on his lip with concern. He'd never heard Ellie say anything like that, with such heat, ever since he got to know her years ago in the castle nightmare they both shared. He'd never even heard her swear when referencing the scientists and priests who held them captive. Sorin certainly never thought he'd hear the day when her ire was directed at one of their own blood brothers. He had to find out what happened and fix it. They couldn't be at odds with one another. They had gone through too much to fall apart now. Sorin was the one who had brought them together and he would be the one who would see that they stayed that way. It wasn't the first time he'd had to keep the peace in their group.
