It felt good to be held, especially by Sorin. There had been many nights in Anton Castle when she'd been afraid and he'd been there to wrap her up in his arms. That hadn't stopped when they came here and she was afraid for all new reasons. Lately, she hadn't needed it as often, but right now it was very comforting.
"He jest expected me to be happy fer him," she said, punctuating it with a sniffle. "Said because it's wha' I wanted so bad I'd jest go wif it, but I dun know her. I know nuffin about her. The next sniffle was kind of a hiccup. Ellie rubbed her cheek against Sorin's chest then sighed. "...I called her a reboundin' harlot."
