WHO: Teddy Riley and Claire Fox
WHEN: Feb. 21st [backdated]
WHERE: Outside during Track & Field
Teddy Riley hated sports. In fact, he didn't believe in running unless he was being chased. He'd seen Elijah Wood say that in The Faculty when he was younger and it had pretty much become a mantra for him and his opinion on sports, never mind that both of his brothers had always been really sporty and good at all that stuff. Teddy had been so sheltered and not allowed to do things on his own for the longest time because his parents were so protective and by extension, his brothers. He'd always been a really sickly little kid, too, never really well enough to do a lot and being deaf and refusing to wear hearing-aids for most of his childhood meant his development in a lot of ways had been sort of stunted.
But that didn't mean he didn't try during track and field, but it was boring and he hated running, so when he'd finished the lap he was running an saw someone else struggling a bit, looking worse for wear, he glanced over at the teacher and changed the direction he was jogging in, picking up a bottle of water from the table to take over to the girl.
"Hey, Claire, right?" he started, voice and words a little awkward, "You okay?" He offered her the water with a slightly embarrassed duck of his head. Maybe he shouldn't have come over to see her. She probably had other friends who would check on her.
