Having spent most of his time further into the future of the island, Desmond knew that the church had been renovated. Of course, he remembered starting a small amount of work with Silver, but that was a good couple of years in the past by now, and considering the kid wasn't around anymore, he realised he had no idea what had happened in the in between. Who had picked up the tools and finished the job so beautifully? He'd never thought to ask until he was back in this time.
Despite his beliefs, it was the first time he'd really paid attention to the actual building since his return to this timezone. From the outside, he could see the job had been finished on the roof, and stepping through those doors he couldn't help but smile. It looked beautiful.
"Quite a job you've done here," he offered, looking around at the new additions, shinier and cleaner than they were in the future.
