Since the range, Peggy had been concerned to say the least. Just the notion that Loki was training Katherine into using the sceptre worried her to no end; the man was not a man and hard to gauge as she was used to gauging men. The usual reads she got from people were useless on Loki, to a larger extent. Their only meetings had been confusing and concerning. Steve didn't like her associations into his plans anyway. But still, if and only if he was training Katherine up to be a successor then Peggy had a duty to tell Steve.
What he would do with that information was another thing. He could be obstinate and short-sighted when it came to Loki and his machinations. She had asked Bucky to take the children out for some fresh air so that she could calmly discuss her inklings with Steve since Bucky didn't really know anything about Loki and his past history. At least Peggy had seen what the god had done to her husband.
"Steve... what do you know about Loki's sceptre?" she asked softly, pouring tea nonchalantly as they sat in the kitchen. The cold weather had started to creep in around the edges and tea would always keep Peggy calm and warm.
