Neville had the small dragon held in his arms as he walked along the paths. He'd already been to the forest to see Rachel and her own companion-who had thankfully confirmed his was a male-and was on his way to meet Hope. He figured that watching the movie might help him figure out a little bit more about how to take care of the creature in his arms. The dragon occasionally nosed at his chin or wiggled a little bit, but was mostly calm, which he was thankful for, especially as he stepped in to the apartment building and on to the elevator. It was only another minute or two before he was shifting the dragon to one arm and knocking at Hope's door.

"He doesn't like being on the floor when I'm up on the bed, I figure he'll end up the same way here. Once he's done eating at least." Neville still got a little nervous sometimes, wondering if what he wanted to do was the right thing to do or what she wanted him to do. But he was getting better about being confident and following his gut so there was only a second or two of hesitation before he let one arm drape around her. "Yes, much better." Popcorn always reminded him of quidditch over movies but it seemed like a good match the times he'd had it with her.

Hope didn't resist a happy little sigh as she wiggled just a little closer, not that there was much space between them, she was going for effect rather than the actual closing of any gaps. Showing she approved very much without words. "He'll also be able to see the movie, once he's not so occupied with licking the bowl." She had to wonder if the dragon could see the flat images, or if he was like most animals.

"If he's awake, this is the longest I've seen him up yet. I think he might have been about to doze on the walk over if there wasn't so much to look at." He smiled to himself, glad she seemed to like the way he held her, letting his arm go a little bit tighter, keeping her close to his side. He hadn't really watched movies before coming to this place, but he liked them a lot, especially the animated ones. This one looked pretty neat too, though he still pay half attention to the animal at their feet who seemed to be finishing up his snack.

"How long has he been hatched?" Hope stretched out her foot, toes, and wiggled the fuzzy covered digits lightly against the dark scales. She couldn't really feel his skin all that much, but it gave her an idea of what his scales did feel like.

She settled her hand on his chest. She paid more attention to him, his breathing, the beat of his heart. The tingling she felt from whatever it was that made him a wizard, which sent a little dingle down her spine in the most wonderful way.

As much as the more...exciting bits of being in a relationship might be, Neville really liked these moments too. Just settled up together, not really doing much but enjoying each other-it was calm and comfortable in a way he hadn't ever seen much of. His parents were gone when he was so young and his grandmother had never been the most affectionate or gentle person. He bent an arm to just rest the rough tips of his fingers rest against her wrist.

"Was the middle of the night Saturday in to Sunday. So, only his second day. But usually he'll be up only an hour or two, then nap a bit, then be up and asking for food again." he joked softly, the little dragon in question now finished with his bowl and cautiously making his way up toward the two of them. He made it to about their knees and then spun in a circle before settling behind Hope's legs. It made Neville smile a bit, knowing he was warming up to her.

Hope couldn't help but coo softly as the little dragon curled up against the crook of her legs. "So he's like most babies, except he can walk and hold his head up." Raising up just a little she reached down to pet the little guy on the head.

She curled her legs around Neville's little dragon a little tighter, and settled back down against his chest. "I think I've been accepted." She had to wonder if the little dragon could sense her 'other'ness.

"Well, he can't walk great either. He's okay getting around in a small space but anything more than a few steps and he stumbles." He smiled watching her pet him, the little dragon puffing a little sigh before he put his head on her leg and closed his eyes.

"I think so too." he grinned and kissed her hair. "I'm glad, I doubt dragon bites are fun, even if he doesn't have teeth yet."

"Like a little baby deer." Or anything else on four legs. But at least he was lower to the ground. "Gonna have to wrap him in bubble wrap. Or pad your apartment." Both could be fun, though. Especially if the little dragon found out how fun popping the bubbles was. She wanted to pet him, again, but decided not to after he settled his head down. She didn't want to keep him from sleeping.

After feeling the brush of his lips against her hair she smiled. Shifting just enough she pressed a little kiss to his chin. "Yeah probably not. The miracle of small smelly salty fishes." She chuckled softly.

He laughed softly but then his attention went back to the movie. "Oh...oh wow, he's gonna be, uh, bigger than I thought." It wasn't hard to recognize the dragon on the screen as being the same type as the one laying with them but he had no idea it would end up that big. "Maybe I shouldn't keep him in the apartment? It might be hard to put him outside once he gets too big to be in there?"

Her kiss made him a little warm and he let the hand wrapped around her rub up and down her side gently. "Small miracles from pretty ladies. He's got good taste."

"Yeah but he's not as big as the dragons get from your world." Or as big as some of the others in the movie. "Once he's full grown you might be able to ride him. But... You could keep him in your apartment, we'd have to make adjustments, maybe make the door to the balcony a little wider so he can go in and out." After Nike, she had some ideas to make it comfortable for the little guy as he grew, and Neville.

A little blush painted over Hope's cheeks. "Do you think he feels the 'other'ness?"
