It was a pleasant job, coming home to her children after her short holiday with her boys. The house was immaculate, of course, and her children happy but missing her enough to make them ridiculously happy to see her. Peggy had of course missed them too but her jaunt had shaken the last cobwebs from her brain. She was walking with more of a spring in her step and vitality, hopefully before the morning sickness started up and refused to stop. That was until she realised what a bad friend she'd been to Eggsy.
Their conversations over text and in person, especially after his injuries, had been lovely to her. She hadn't thought about the Kingsman project for decades even, hadn't spoke about it to anyone. It was as if a whole part of her training had been conducted without anyone but her knowing. Hollis had seen to that.
She wanted desperately for Eggsy to believe her but Kingsman agents were recruited for their secrecy and coolness under pressure. She would have recruited Eggsy as a SHIELD or SSR agent just for being picked as a Kingsman recruit. It helped that they had a shared culture, at least in part. Making him fish and chips and mushy peas reminded her so much of her days in London before the war and before rationing when the restaurants were abundant. She had the kids playing in the living room happily together and the food keeping hot in the oven. She just had to wait for the last connection she had to her own secret past.
