Micha paused as she sensed his thoughts, surprised at what was there and the intensity of them. It was a good question though, had she turned to the dark side? The fact she could ask that question suggested she hadn't but it made her examine her actions since Steve had died. Was doing everything she possibly could to kill her enemies a mark of the dark side? They had been trying to kill her and everyone else on the island after all, had killed Steve.
But she'd felt satisfaction in killing the aliens, as if she were avenging Steve's death. That was not the way of the Jedi. Be prepared to kill, yes, but take no pleasure in the act.
She wasn't certain how much time passed between the beginning of the thought process to the conclusion, but Steve was still there and holding her tightly. Just as he had when he fully opened himself to her. Micha reached up and stroked his face gently. "No, I haven't turned...but I came closer than I like to think I could. It shames me to admit that I took pleasure in the deaths of all the aliens I killed, thinking I could avenge your death."
