The man did not know her pain but he could be sympathetic about it, should she discuss it. He was all too aware of the strange reality it was to wake up suddenly somewhere else with a life you did not understand. His was, of course, a different kind of reality and in some ways being part JARVIS he had been prepared for his awakening. Just the same, he lead a complicated life on this island.
He could not talk to the men who created him. He was unsure who to turn to when there was no operative, no New Avenger's protocol. Vision did not know even where was best to live. He wanted to live within the Avenger's Tower, it seemed most logical, but it also seemed improper when his creator did not know who he was. He did not want to be rude and live in a world he wasn't welcome.
Vision and Thor had spoken, they had exchanged pleasantries and part ways. Even Thor was beaten down here. Gretel was right not to jump in with enthusiasm.
"Good evening, Gretel," said the man as he looked up from his seat at a bench and saw her. His cell phone was glowing faintly in that mode between being used and turning off completely, as if he had just looked at it. The Vision stood to greet her, extending a hand politely in her direction. "I trust you found your way without trouble?"
